how about Boise St. passing the ball and scoring a meaningless TD on Iowa St in a bowl game 2-3 years ago, when all they had to do was kneel lol...im sure many remember that one
I remember that - I had Boise St. :toast:
In 2002 I had Saints -4.5 over Carolina. Was in Champaign to see the Bears (the year they played home games in Champaign) vs. Patriots. Saints were down 24-20 with less than 2 min left, but we had to leave to go to the game so I chalked it up as a definite loss. I got pissed as the Bears blew a 27-6 lead over the Pats, but then I looked up at the scoreboard to see the Saints had beaten the Panthers 34-24. Later on I saw the highlights - the Saints scored a TD to go up 27-24 with 30 sec left. After the kickoff, Carolina made a futile attempt to move down the field and score. With 4 seconds left, Rodney Peete got hit at his own 20 while throwing what was CLEARLY a forward pass, but it was ruled a fumble and Charles Grant picked it up and for no reason returned it 35 yards for a TD, Saints win by 10, a true miracle.
Second to this was a game where the Bills were playing someone, must have been 1998 or so. Had the Bills -4.5. They were up 10 late, but their opponent scored a TD to go down by 3 with less than 20 seconds left. Opponent tries an onside kick, which is recovered by Henry Jones and he runs it back for a TD, Buffalo wins by 10.
