Of course most will remember the bad beats much more so and of course we all hear he same line " they average out"....We all remember the all time worst beats, Ventura grand slam game, Seattle comeback vs Cleveland, Oilers/Bills, the USC overtime game , the list goes on and on....
What about the good beats, when the game is all but lost and by some miracle your side miraclulously wins your bet?
I'm sure we all have countless good beats we can talk about....
One game I recall , college football Iowa vs someone from the Big 10 @ Iowa , it was several years ago now, I had the side and total, I had them both pretty large for me , both plays were going down , and both were so close....a few minutes left I was losing the over by a point and the dog was also losing by a point (I had Iowa's opponent) anyway, a couple minutes remained and this was my last shot, the team I had already had given up and the backup was in and he was awful, I had NO CHANCE OF SCORING A TD, and they were too far down to bother kicking a FG with little time left....
Iowa has the ball inside their own 10 yardline instead of punting the ball away, the punter MUCH TO MY SURPRISE GIVEN THE SCORE , STEPS OUT OF THE END ZONE, to this day I have no idea why, because Iowa was up very big and the score did not matter, even the announcers were scratching their heads, "why did the punter bother" "strange call" Game goes over by ONE and I got the cover by ONE....
That was one of the good beats :drink:
