I'm not comparing the Lakers to the Mavericks, you are.
Why wouldn’t you compare the Lakers to the Mavericks?

We are discussing who won the trade — that is literally a comparison of those two teams

Holy shit maybe you’re closer to Greenbacks than I though

Quoting Skip Bayless now as sports analysis even — yikes

but you just said winning was the metric and Dallas was sub 500.
Now it's playoffs wins after being reminded you're talking about a sub 500 team....

twist much?

roooooooooolllling
lol anyone following knew Lakers needed an offseason to rebuild the roster with or without Luka

I don’t know any credible analyst that thought they’d win the title this year

If he wants to go the “fan expectation” route then he should ask what Mavs fans think of all of this

The question is, why can't you read basic sentences?
Hold on I thought we were taking about the trade and the Dallas vs LA comparison and who won the trade ...

No?

Good god you look sadly lost and like a guy who thinks he's never wrong..

keep twisting chubby

No, this is just cope. You can't actually provide any metric for the Lakers showing they won (which is why you started out by saying we have to wait until 2026) so now you're having to look at a different team.

Using your logic, if Dallas has a better year than the Lakers next year they won the trade.

Winning is the metric FOR THE LAKERS because they so obviously won the trade.

Well, if they won the trade, why didn't that the same playoff outcome as last year?

Because when you SO OBVIOUSLY HAVE WON THE TRADE, you should be better.

They actually fared worse.
They fared worse than what? Everyone figured the Lakers would be not a championship team because of size. I even had Minnesota in the series. They have a very flawed roster and would need an offseason to start building around Luka …. that was pretty much the consensus opinion

They so obviously won the trade for a myriad of reasons that for some reason you don’t want to admit , even though it’s pretty much universally accepted

You just paying no mind to building for the long term is pretty hilarious. Teams tank seasons in hopes of drafting someone that could become half of what Luka is……the Lakers literally got that for nothing

Yes, because if the Lakers so obviously won the trade, you would compare pre vs. post trade.

LOL
