LSU solid No. 1; Bama drops to No. 4

I don't care that Alabama lost last night, they are a better team than LSU. They handed that game to them & if they had a capable QB, they would have won by double digits. This LSU team is so overrated it is disgusting. I'd gladly take Stanford, Boise State, Oregon, Alabama & Oklahoma outright without blinking over these guys. Oregon handed them that opening game as well. Oklahoma State my only concern is how pitiful that defense is. Although LSU's offense is so terrible that Oklahoma State putting up 14-17 might be good enough.

i still have grudges over the pats losing the SB to the giants (we were the better team) but i give them their due for beating us that day....they are the champs

if you really believe lsu is overrated you should be making Arky your play of the year when they meet b/c that is a good team with a GOOD offense and they will be 10+ point underdogs


oregon is gonna beat stanford next saturday night and things will get more interesting....

They beat ranked teams who had no business being ranked but with the east coast bias, especially for the SEC, it makes their resume look more impressive. They have beat only 2 legit teams so far & were handed both of those wins in terms of Alabama & Oregon.

Is this really an arguement? I mean seriously, listen to what youre saying. LSU has only beat 2 top 6 teams. One of them on the road. And you actually try and say they dont deserve to be #1. WOW, i don't even know what to say. Name any other team that has beat 2 top 6 teams. Hell I'm not sure there is even another team that has 2 wins against teams currently in the top 10 let alone top 6.

Alabama has beat an overrated arkansas team currently #8 and penn st currently #12.
Oklahoma st has beaten #17 and #21
Stanford has beat #18
Boise has beaten #14
Oregon doesnt even have a win against a current top 25 team

They have one of the hardest schedules in the country and haven't lost a game. What do you want them to do? go into the #2 team in the countries back yard and beat them 31-7 cause 9-6 wasnt good enough?

What are you people not getting? They supposedly have the hardest schedule based on reputation & rankings only. LSU has only 2 quality wins & that was against Alabama & Oregon. Watching both those games, especially Alabama, only a biased person would say they were not handed that game. Alabama outplayed them & failed to execute versus LSU really doing anything special.

Come on. Oregon is the most overrated team in the past 3 years. Every time they play in a big game they get the beat down. Who have they beat? I would take any top SEC team over Oregon.

If getting beat by a FG on last play of a game is a beatdown then your right its a beat down. I don't see a FG game on the last play as a beatdown.. They left more points on the field then Auburn did... One drive ends at the 1 on downs, another pic in the red zone....... Against LSU Oregon inserts a freshmen for suspended All American Harris and he fumbles 2 returns that actually decided the game.. yardage was even, no that wasn't a beatdown either

Who has a harder schedule? Even if you think they only have 2 quality wins, ok. None of the other top teams have more then 1 and a few of them don't even have that.

OK State beat A&M by one point (30-29), while A&M lost to Arkansas by a greater margin the week after Arkansas lost to Bama by 24. LSU beat Oregon by 13 (scoring 40 points), and the only reason that margin was so low was due to a TD scored with less than a minute left against a prevent defense.

I'm a B10 fan, and more importantly a completely objective handicapper. While watching a team like OK State give up and make big plays, miss tackles, and win games 52-45 over K State and 61-34 over LA-Lafayette is cute, the quality is 100% at the top of the SEC. I'm not saying that I want a rematch, but LSU and Alabama are clearly in a league of their own.

Okay beatdown was a little strong but who have they beat the last 3 years besides Stanford last year??? Every time in a big game they lose (Boise, Auburn, Ohio State, LSU).

We have beaten USC a few times even when they were strong ! Those are big wins, bigger then Boise or Ohio St ! Don't kid yourself.. Look who else was doing it over the last decade, NO ONE !
