Tide opens as a 7 point favorite at home vs the Bayou Bengals. Gonna be a good one

I think Vegas likes Alabama here and I understand why.... A lot of people are going to take LSU, and rightfully so, but Bama is built to stop downhill running attacks, they love it.... I think the line is close enough, but my money is on bama by 2 Fgs which is a no play for me. Bol

Bama 23-17

Thought it would be -3/-4 but they placed it right for a split of the money. We will win by 14...and I was going to backup the brinks truck if the line opened at -3 or less.

It will be one "helluva" SEC football game...... (Alabama -7) I don't know about that ??? That "battering ram" of a running back LSU has in their backfield is going to rack-up some serious yards. Keep an eye on the weather.....The long range forecast for Tuscaloosa on Saturday is rain showers.....Right down Leonard Fournette's alley. I see a field goal win.

I'm not sure what people find so impressive about LSU. They've beaten two good teams, both wins by a TD or less.

Wow...the whole world will be on LSU +7.

A lot of Tide fans would be very happy with a 23-17 win (except we "sports fans" who are laying the seven). Games like this are what college football is all about. Will you be at the game Red ?

I was, but I was informed that Saturday is my in laws 50th wedding anniversary, so I've gone from not being at the game to even getting to see the game live. Game and Anniversary Dinner times are exactly the same. Ugh.....

Tend to agree MWS. Bama won 20-13 on the road last year as a 7 point favorite. The Tide will win this one
by 10 to 17.

Miss State 21-19
Florida 35-28

Haven't really played anyone other than those two teams. (Auburn, Syracuse, E. Michigan, S. Carolina, W. Kentucky)

Alabama may win, but I don't see it by 7 or more.

Kicking game: LSU has one of the best FG kickers in the country. Alabama's kicker is a liability. Advantage LSU
Kick coverage: LSU has some of the worst I've seen. As long as Alabama's coverage team doesn't get lost on the way to the stadium, they win this match-up. Advantage Alabama

Running game: sure, Fournette; but LSU's 2, 3, and 4 guys could start for anyone. Alabama's run game is also impressive but have to go with LSU here. Advantage LSU

Run defense: both very stout; call it a wash
Pass defense: LSU's is pretty bad. Advantage Alabama

QB: Coker has more yards, but B. Harris has a higher rating and a much better TD/pick ratio. Plus, Harris is more of a running threat. Advantage LSU.

Saban vs. Miles? Edge to Saban, mainly b/c Miles has issues with play calling while ahead. Advantage Alabama.

Home field. Advantage Alabama.

Anyway, that's how I see it.

Dont have a dog in the fight but man i want to see the OL of LSU match up against the Bama front 7. Should be a war. I do think that Bama has a coaching advantage, especially with Chavis going to A&M

Bama -14? I'll take that wager if you're serious.

"Sports Fans" pay a dear price to bet on these heavy weight programs (i.e. Alabama).....Odds makers see to it. It is important that we see [it] as well.
