I'll admit I know nothing about these teams this year, but I'm pretty sure Louisville was pretty decent and Kentucky was a much improved football team. Does Louisville still have same quarterback/rb duo from last year? Gotta find a good site for this kinda stuff...lol Anyways, whats your thoughts on this game?

SCOUTING THE OFFENSE
The Cardinals put up close to 500 yards per game on offense in 2007, but it's a whole new ballgame. Hunter Cantwell takes over at quarterback, while only two starters on the offensive line return. The ground attack will be key in picking up yards on first down to give Cantwell and wide receivers Doug Beaumont and Troy Pascley some space to work with.

Eight starters return for the Cardinals, but that's both good news and bad news since the unit struggled at times a year ago and gave up more than 400 yards per game. A big focus this offseason was avoiding giving up the big play, which killed the team in the fourth quarter in last season's loss to the Wildcats.

Kentucky has only 4 returning starters and L-ville has only 8 or 9 returning starters. This game is a huge rivalry and is usually close. L-ville may have a slight edge because of their QB and they are at home.

Brohm is gone and Hunter Cantwell is starter. He isn't that much of a downgrade from Brohm. Louisville lost two of their WR to injuries and two of their RB transferred to new schools. Lean is to Kentucky, but this is a game I will probably stay away from as both teams are breaking in new starters at alot of positions.

Thx MrC, sounds like a layoff game to me as well.

Mike Hartline a 6'6" QB is starting for them now and he only has 12 career passing attempts. Dicky Lyons Jr. is their best WR now and they have two experienced RB in Tony Dixon who ran for 411 yards last year and Derrick Locke who ran for 521 yards last year.

Louisville is starting a new QB, RB, both WR positions, and TE.

That reason serious makes me want to bet them...They want to keep that memory going now so you can keep it and say it again next time someone asks if Kentucky or not...Priceless.
