A true road game, they're freshmen and a hostile arena is something they've never seen. Louisville,They opened at -2 for a reason, that defense is legit but 3 starters shoot under 40% from the field, and kentucky scores ALOT. So when louisville wins tomorrow do they win a high scoring affair or low scoring? Crazy louisville leading scorer is 11 ppg I went big louisville but someone comfort me on why they beat kentucky the line just looks off, cant believe kentucky is a dog

No doubt first true road game for Kentucky, but they will have their share of fans and are still in their home state. A lot of students have gone home for XMAS.

If Louis wins it most likely will be from their smothering D and the ability to match up well with Kentucky.

I doubt if it would be because of the freshman being intimated or anything.

Louisville is always tough, haven't had a chance to watch them this year but whats with all the starters shooting under 40% from the field and leading scorer at 11 ppg? Ive watched alot of kentucky and those guys can score at will, im big on louisville just bc i like the line opening at -2 and now being a pick and them being home but whats up with louisville is their record a fraud? I dont see any big wins on there other than purdue, the rest are bad teams

In addition to U's comment regarding lack of students in the crowd (which means a lot, ask us about that damn Duke game the other night), Kentucky HAS NEVER LOST to Louisville when both teams were ranked in the Top 10.

Good points on Louis. It will be very interesting to see a really good def team and how they do against this offense of Kentucky. UCLA ran with them (UCLA strength) and NC ran with them (down to the wire), and now a team who's strength is their def. I really think it will come to how the refs call the game. Key players in foul trouble in tis game will mean the world.

you know how they're gonna call it, in louisville's favor. The casinos would take a bath if kentucky wins, all the money is on kentucky, you know how this game goes. There is probably 0% chance they let kentucky win. Everything is gonna go louisville's way, too much money is on the wildcats

When they faced each while both ranked in top 10... UK is 5-0.

Louisville did beat a good ranked Purdue team but not as impressive as a win over UNC.

mango that may be but tonight over 90% of the money is on UK, you dont think refs are gonna call this in louisville's favor? Very rarely does all the money end up on a side in a major tv game like this and then that side gets the W, thats all im saying

Can't tell you how many times someone said "Vegas needs X because too much money on Y...." then they both lost. Trust me, Vegas will not go broke if UK wins. It's a myth that Vegas always wins so capping based solely on what Vegas needs will bankrupt you.

If it's 90% now, it won't be by tip-off. That's why they move the lines to induce betting on the other side. There's many games where it's lopsided early then evens out by game time.

no i know its just one game of many but those lines that open at -2 and then go to a pick more often than not end up being suckers bets. Look at the sacramento kings last night opened at -3 and were +1 at tip off and they still won. The opening line usually covers in those games in my experience. Im just trying to understand louisville more bc their schedule looks soft as baby shite

Mango also did you check the refs??? Jamie Luckie, Roger Ayers and Ron Goover. UK has lost the last 3 road games that Luckie worked and 4 of last 5 that Ayers has worked.

What about Rockets? Opened as favs and closed as PK. Spurs won. You see, I can cherry pick stats too.

Never picked a game based on who refs games so don't really care.

You're permitted to use the word "shit" here. I'd watch the line movement here, last night had a good example. Toledo opened at like -1+, maybe -1 but I think it was -1+. Late afternoon, ok, maybe mid-afternoon, line flopped to Toledo +1. About 30 minutes before game tip, line went back to Toledo -1. I hammered Toledo and we all know the rest of that story. So this game is tight, but the fact that KY has never lost to the Cards in this situation and Calp's record against Pitino not bad, I'm the leaning tower of Pisa in the Cats direction. GL

rockets should've won, they were the first team in 3 seasons to lead by 14 with under 5 to play and lose, it was like 1-1,188 or something is the record in those games now thanks to the rockets utter meltdown

look at coach cal's record in road openers, its not good

Can't cash a ticket based on woulda shoulda couldas otherwise I'd be filthy rich.

Again you're cherry picking stats while ignoring others that don't support your side. That's fine, it's your money and you can bet anyway you wish. Personally I'm still on the fence but leaning UK. I just think their offensive firepower might be too much for their defense and don't think UL has the firepower to match them basket for basket.

Louisville might win, but it won't have to do with freshman being rattled.
I mean, Monk committed to UK before his senior season in Arkansas (turning down Arkansas). That kid went through hell in every opponents gym. These kids have already shown they aren't really rattled on big stages - and Briscoe, Fox and Monk have already mentioned in interviews that they love road games even more.

It will come down to rebounding and officials. UK struggles on the boards and that is a Uof Louisville.

The big key will be the officials. There are two officials that hate Calipari and it is Jamie Luckie and Roger Ayers. I won't do the research for you, but take a look at Calipari's record with those two officials (and technicals given), you will quickly realize the importance of those two doing tonights game. If Bam gets in foul trouble early, it could lean towards Louisville.

I am a UK fan, but will back the other team when I feel like it will win me money - I am going to stay away from this game, but I would lean Kentucky. Only thing keeping me away is Luckie and Ayers (just from previous experiences)
Louisville will play matchup zone and so far, UK has looked VERY good against zones (better than previous years).

I mentioned the refs, the public is all over kentucky as well. I just see no way kentucky wins this tonight, sure they're a better team but louisville is going to win no questions asked
