I don't know if they win 70 games this year, but right now they look like the best team in nba. They have the best defense and the best offense. The scary thing is they are crushing other teams with Kobe playing average at best.And maybe they will lose some games on the road, but the Celtics will not beat them. If the Celtics think it will be easy like last year in the finals they will be in for a big surprise. The Celtics were verly lucky to beat an injury depleted Atlanta team last night on their homefield. They didn't deserve the win and they didn''t impress me at all. The Lakers played back to back in Dallas and New Orleans. And even though the Hornets started a comeback in second half, you can not ignore the fact, that the Lakers hold the Hornets to 30 Points in first half.
Incredibly dumb statement. I also disagree with the thread title and I personally don't even think the Lakers are the best team in the league, but to say the fucking PACERS might be better is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Indiana might not even be a playoff team this year. Teams that I think might be better than LA are Boston, Detroit and Utah. I would take those teams against LA in a seven game series. Teams like Phoenix, Cleveland, New Orleans and a healthy San Antonio could beat them in a series, but it's more likely they lose.
The Hawks aren't a top tier team either. I'll give them props for their start and for staying with Boston last night when I didn't think they could, but there is still at least 5 teams in the East I would say are better, even though they've beaten three of them. I would take Boston, Detroit, Orlando, Toronto and Philly in a seven game series over Atlanta.
Also, I don't remember anyone saying Kobe is Jordon. He is not even close to MJ status but he is still probably the second best player in the game and the best in the west, so he is certainly capable of leading his team to a great season and possibly a ring
lakers will defiantly finish with one of the best records all time this year if not the best .their bench is too good with ariza and odom. but they will loose some games. most games so far this season its been a 4th qtr run thats won it for them. cant do that all season long.
