I know this is sad and potentially tragic news. I am not sure it belongs here in the Offshore Forum as opposed to the world events forum. I will leave it and would like to hear what our posters think.

IMO a move to World Events is less drastic than to the RR, the latter being a form of punishment.
While we're on the topic, I disagree with having a separate forum for disputes with Rx advertisers. I think the purpose of Offshore is to talk about actual/potential issues/disputes with ALL books, including advertisers. With the separate forum it looks like the Rx wants to hush up such disputes by relegating them way down the board where hardly anyone will see it.

Darryl, I understand your concerns about the Dispute forum. The real reason for it's existence is to field complaints by brand new (and in many cases ghost) posters. Once it is clear there is a legitimate complaint then any thread is welcome to stay Offshore. For example if a poster with a history similar to yours opened a thread containing a complaint about an advertiser book it would stay offshore based on the credability you have as a poster. In short The Rx. wants to protect it's advertisr books from crank or agenda driven phony complaints that only end up with damaging mis-information and outright lies contained in many of the posts. The recent complaint by new poster Randy Jones was originally moves to Disputes but it became clear that there was some sort of mis-understanding and a second thread was opened and left Offshore until the matter was settled to the satisfation of both book and poster.

The post in question probably belongs elsewhere, but then again so do about 75% of the other posts in this forum. Therefore, it's probably not fair to single out this particular one. Personally, I wish guidelines were enforced for this forum, but I know that's just not gonna happen. Therefore, hand-picking threads for redirection is probably a losing battle as thread originators will take it personally.
Come on, Scott Peterson not guilty, be for real!! His girlfriend asked to speak to a homocide detective a few days BEFORE Laci dissappears! With her backround she did this only cause she knew something! That scumbag is as guilty as a person can be!
