looking for work as a ticker writer at book in vegas with really really bad credit

You will make 7 dollars an hour if you work for Leroys. Yes they do background checks. You have to get a sheriffs card and they do it right there along with fingerprint you and take pictures of you.

Bad credit won't preclude you from a job generally at lower levels. If you were a manager or someone who had a lot of responsibility for overseeing cash they might think about it, but the lower level guys aren't scrutinized much. Amazing thing is I hear its getting even harder to get a good gig as a ticket writer. The dumpy jobs like Leroy's and out at Primm always hiring, but at a good book in town can be quite a challenge.

Pretty standard though to have a credit check run in all sorts of jobs these days.

Leroy's doesn't run credit checks. Your credit couldn't be as bad as mine was when I worked there.
