Is this your crafty plan for paying back that 20 grand you owe?

3k from 7 posters and you can pay back plus pocket a grand.

What is the cap, at what point do we cash out?
How much per play?
How early before the start of the games do you plan to get down?

JJ, if I join the group before this weekend and the vote is Lions +3 I will have to opt out. Cowboys is a big big play for me. How would we rectify this?

2K per play is acceptable, not preferable, but acceptable.

I suggest you cash out at 66k opposed to 80k

Will you be opening all the accounts under a "group name", will all participants have viewing access to the bets at each book?

I assume you, and you alone will be placing all the wagers, really the only way to do it.

I assume you, and you alone will be placing all the wagers, really the only way to do it. Well we can vote on who places wagers

The glaring question is, why would you want to join a "group" and have others impact your bet making decisions? If you slapped 3K into and account on your own, you would be making your own plays and could cash out at 7.5K instead of 33k cashing out at 80k. Not a bash, just curious as to your angle here, what do you see as advantages to this?

Superhero I think it is easier to raise cash this way and then we can re-invest and put right back into betting and eventually if things went right become at least a moderate beting group. I am still researching this.

Have I lost my mind??

Or, does this qualify as one of the all-time bizarro posts at rx? Seemingly, there is serious interest in joining forces with several unknown internet personnas in a real-money gambling syndicate. A joke, right?

Vin - I would definitely consider this light reading at best.

On a serious note: Please use extreme caution whenever dealing with other posters and any kind of cash transactions. Not jut here but anywhere on the internet.

This is one of those "situations" that could go down in history. More than likely it will never happen, but if it does, it's one of those stories you tell your grandchildren. I for one am not afraid of the risk, and love the possibilities.

However for the most part, you are correct, it's not wise.

I didn't think anyone was really believing there was any legitimacy to his post. Please don't take this seriously.

The 33k goes into a safe deposit box and only a trustee will have the key. This is no joke, therefore no foul play with money.

All meetings will be on phone with a multiple conference call setup which is very easy to do and we will take it from the kitty to set up the phone system.

I already have 5 posters and will post names now

Instead of conference call, everyone in the group should quit their jobs and just rent a house together. Instead of a few minutes capping games over the phone, the group gets 10-12 hours a day to cap games together.
