I'm looking for some guidance from fellow rx'ers .... I'm in an unfamiliar parlay position (1.5 units to win 16 units).

The 1st 3 NFL legs hit with the last part being Texas -9 ... what's the best hedge strategy? Teasers, straight side, halftime bets??

I really like the Longhorns to cover, but I want to lock in some profit here too ... any help is much appreciated. :aktion033

if you bet the parlay and like texas to cover, why hedge? unless it would put you under to lose 1.5 units right now, i'd say gamble.

Buy the other side to 10.5 for half the winning par amt.

If you want to hedge this is exactly right. If you want to gamble a little then you might wait until halftime and see if you have a chance at a middle. Just my opinion. Good luck!

Get this question a lot here. Hedge the bet on the other side for 1/3 the total payout of the parlay.

1/3 of your 17.5 units.

So i'd place somewhere around 5-6 units on the other the Buckeys. I really like Texas in this game but you have to take the cash when you get these opportunities.

Good luck :toast:

The percent u hedge is all relative to the amounts you usually bet. Many deciding factors here. If you are having a great year, you might not want to hedge at all. You are the only one to decide. I would try and get a middle opp with my hedge.

HEDGE? are you serious? why even bet Texas in the parlay if you want to bet against them.

There is only one play........ put even more on the longhorns. Why only win 1600 on this blowout?

Put at least another 10 units on em, and laugh at how easy that $2600 was.

You can thank me in the 3rd quarter when the game is over....

Definitely take the Buckeyes and hedge that bet! It is GUARANTEED! Why not lock yourself in for a decent profit with the Buckeyes and hope to hit a big profit if the Longhorns cover???? It's a great situation to be in, knowing you cannot lose! Wish I was in your spot.
