Im looking for a site out there that breaks down records for totals on games. Im thinking betting over on 7.5 lined games has a very high hit ratio, but didnt want to search every teams o/u for the yr to find all the games (although most of those lines should be NL west involved).

You need to learn how to use www.sportsdatabase.com as this is far and away the best and to my knowledge only site that allows you to backtrack lines and games. They have a large variety of variables you can include in analysis.

This should have what you're looking for. 40-30 (57.1%) in 2009 and +720. Overall a profitable trend with some losing years.

EDIT: I noticed an issue with 5/1 BJ and O's. Total was listed at 3 which is wrong. It was 9. I sent them an email and they fixed it. With the corrected data, record is 24-18-2

Your trend is for home teams only and that exclusion wasn't in the OP's post. In addition, your trend shows all games 7.5 or less while he was asking for lines of 7.5.

wrong again. If you omit 'site=home' then every game will be double counted on the summary page as there is a record in the DB for each team. Don't believe me? Click on your link and then click on '2009'.

So the correct query, combing your incorrect query and my incorrect query, would be the following:

Which gives us a 20-15 (57.1%) +360 trend in 2009. Since 2004 446-408 +583.

Don't bet on overs on games under 7.5. The trend is terrible.

If you're betting 7.5 overs only, it's an OK trend hitting 52.222%.

Considering you would have lost 3 out of the last 5 years and would be down overall, it is not a trend I would put my $$ on. You would have risked almost 1300 units ($130,000 for $100 bettor) and lost over 32 on this trend since 2004. 'Not good' in the simplest terms.

If you do think you are on to something here then you are far from done and the right thing to do would see if you could improve the trend by trying to filter on pitchers with ERA < X or look at only teams with winning percentage > X Or only HP Umpires with Overs > X, or all of the above, etc... Just my 2 cents.

I will not take this any further and will leave the rest to you as I have my system in place. I will continue to tweak mine throughout the season as needed but it seems to be doing pretty good so far.

Using the database, is there a way to query all 2008 games to find how many games had runs scored in the 1st inning.....and by team?

Yes there is. inning runs is a list so to see runs in the first inning use 'inning runs[0]'. To see runs in the second inning use 'inning runs[1]', etc. Of course, you want the total number of runs by both teams so what you really are asking for is 'inning runs[0]+o:inning runs[0]'.
