Looking back now, should the Cavs have given up Wiggins for Love?

Seemed like a no brainer at the time, but now it does seem like they should have kept Wiggins.

Guy made a valid point today. LBJ wasn't coming to Cleveland without Love so it had to be the right move at the time.

It has only been two years, but I'm starting to forget how dominant Kevin Love was on the Twolves

I think it's impossible to say when you consider the 2 ball hogs in Irving & LeBron that Love is on the floor with every game all season long...

The combo doesn't seem to be working but people forget Love was killing it on Twolves. He had 30+pts & 30+rbs in a game. At the time he was a guaranteed double double traded for a potential maybe good player. Wiggins isn't a star (yet) but I think one day he probably will be. Reminds me of Elton brand for Tyson Chandler. No brainer trade back then but hindsight might argue different.

I believe he's just uncomfortable playing with the guys mentioned.

I mean just think about those 2 egos & the sh!t he probably has to hear from them...
not uncomfortable
just doesn't fit into their current system at all especially on defense

if klove had the offense run through him, he could get #s he posted in minnesota
but good luck justifying that while having to sacrifice all the playmaking lebron is capable of.

like if westbrook was told that he was the 3rd option on a team, and got only 10 shots a game he'd be awful and super underachieving

It a stupid move now, it was a stupid move then. It was just Lebron being impatient and needing to win right away. If they kept Wiggins it would have taken two years but he would have become what Wade was to Lebron with the Heat. Instead they mortgaged the future on the massively overrated Love who was putting up huge numbers on a bad team. He just isn't a star in this league, he is just not athletic enough. If you are slow and can't jump good you better have awesome skills, Love just has good skills. He shoots well, but not great, he passes well but not great. Maybe he a a great rebounder, thats about it.
I said all this years ago before he went to the Cavs, so it's not after the fact.

But if you keep Wiggins, you don't have LBJ in Cleveland. What choice did they have?

I understand it was what Lebron wanted. Just saying what he wanted was stupid.
