Down 2 rounds to 0 and having been out-landed 50-27 in significant strikes, Joel Alvarez not only didn't attempt a takedown in Round 3, he attempted his fewest significant strikes (36) of any round in the fight.

What in the hell are you doing Jan? Had an excellent gameplan until the 3rd.

Four loss summary:

Khabilov just looked like shit. Don't know what else to say.

Prazeres looked like he didn't even train for his opponent and basically gave up when he couldn't take him down. He was gassed and slow. I don't think he put in the time to be prepared. He ruined a great day.

Pedersoli should've spent more time staying out of the way of a Grant haymaker than he did nodding at Grant. IMO, he dominated round 1 and was too confident. He didn't have to be within range there at the end of the round.

Jan? What else is there to say? He looked great in the first two rounds and I had it scored 1-1. Then, he decided to pretend like he was Thiago Santos and go all aggressive on us and he got caught. It's that simple. Maybe his strategy was to get more aggressive rounds 3-5? I don't know but his strategy was dumb. You can't rush in on a guy like Santos. Terrible fight IQ by Jan and Pedersoli.
