But, just in case he's got something for once, I spoke to some Canadian friends and they tell me Yes, they want to see more effort at putting AQ out of business. So as soon as we quit wasting time jacking around in Iraq, I say let's get it going!

I don't live in a culture whose common thread is fear-*****ring, but nice try, Pat. Also, in case it's been forgotten, Canadians have committed troops in Afghanistan until 2005, so we are, in fact, attempting to do something about AQ.

First on our agenda, however, should be the abolition of the Greater Middle East Reform Initiative; yet another misguided, ill-advised, arrogant foreign policy agenda of the great George W. and Company.

As a matter of fact, Patriot, it makes me abhor the geo-political organization of the planet even more. It only exacerbates my wish for power hungry, small dicked, napoleans like Bush to end their colonial missions.

It only makes me hope harder that someday people will come to realize there is nothing to be gained from hate derived genocide.

It only reminds me of how much more peaceful my world is when I am not plugged in to the matrix via television and internet.

It only strengthen my resolve to live for the moment and enjoy life as much as possible.

It only encourages me to hug my daughter tighter in hope of offering some measure of insulation from the cold hard hateful world that is run by a very few ego-maniacal power hungry haters.

So how many Canadian troops are in Afghanistan fighting the war on terror?

Currently 2100 of the 5400 NATO troops in Afghanistan are Canadian, where they will remain until August. At that time, they will be replaced by an 800-man force who will stay until the end of 2005. There is an additional US-led force of 12,000 troops, including 425 Canadians, that is separate from NATO. I am unaware how long this last contingent is scheduled to remain there.

To date, 7 soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan, including 4 who died during a training exercise by an 'errant' American bomb.
