Disagree with the majority here. I think his dad will have little to no affect on him and his play.
Lavar ball is a marketing genius. I said it once but I'll say it again....just wait until the public perception of this guy changes. I don't know when but it will.
For example. The most quiet son he has he does the exact opposite of what he did with his other two sons. He says Liangelo Ball, the middle son won't make it. He's the best one out of the 3 lmao. And Lavar knows this. Kid is the only one with a smooth jumper and if you watched when they all played together, his brothers were feeding him to go score. They know. But he is reserved. And not all out going and talkative like the other two. Lavar knows this and plays his hand differently than the other two. Lonzo ball is not what yall think. He is only quiet because he knows his dad is going to want to talk.
Lonzo is more of a game dictator and probably the all around best player of the 3. The youngest has the flare. But the middle one is a baller with a real jumper. Don't get it twisted. Watch him dominate for UCLA. Especially in his 2nd/3rd year once his younger brother gets there to feed him.

that's pretty good. Jalen Rose said only three players in nba history have averaged 8 assists and 2 steals per game. Rubio, Chris Paul, and john stockton... but ricky rubio is pretty fucking good. Just gets no credit. If he is as good as Ricky Rubio on this level, Lonzo Ball will be treated as a global star.
His catch and shoot is quick and straight up and down like a phone booth. And he has a base for his shot and a smooth release. Not like his brothers. 44 second mark. Look at that catch and shoot.
1 minute mark, that is a tough shot. Catching the ball to your left and getting that shot off. This kid is the truth. I don't know how Lavar Ball can try to let this kid go under the radar. He not fooling me. But it is working for most of the public and the sports Media.
I don't have an informed opinion on him talent-wise, but with all the hype and all the family baggage and all the premature demands and with an unorthodox (read weird) shot, those things don't tend to pan out very well
