Who's number one.

If your a fan of either I'm thinking it's better to be #2.

The curse of the number ones, you know what I mean?

Longhorns easy. Bama best win against overrated Georgia? If Bama was moved up 7 spots for that win the Texas should get same treatment for beating the "great" OU

This is how I predict the Top 5 comes out in tomorrow's poll:

1. Alabama
2. Texas
3. Penn State
4. USC
5. Oklahoma

But those rankings mean nothing right now. All that matters is getting one of the top 2 spots in that final pre-bowl BCS ranking. Other than some possibly short-lived bragging rights there's no benefit to being No. 1 in the middle of October.

I liked everything I saw in the Sears Wish Book we used to get before Christmas every year. I didn't get them, though.

Sorry, not with John-Parker Wilson at QB. I really can't see Alabama winning the title game this year. I really just can't see it ever happening. They just don't have the team imo. If they were to face USC my guess is they'd be at least 10.5 point dogs.

I'm a believer and all after seeing Bama undress UGA on the road but does anyone really expect John Parker Wilson to lead his team out of the SEC untouched?

Texas won't lose in the next two weeks BB...did you see Mizzou play tonight? Did you see what Texas did to the team that everyone was on today? I don't see Bama running the table in the SEC...too many land mines...but GOD YES Bama is way more deserving than USC or some scrubby ass little 10 team.

All I know is they are damn lucky they aren't gonna have to face what looks like a pissed off Florida team.. at least not until the SEC championship, if they both get there.

How did you feel about Louisiana-Monroe before that game was played last season?

The point is you can't always predict a win or loss by looking at the schedule. The games must be played and then you find out how a team fares given all the particular circumstances.

if texas went undefeated in 05...why cant we go undefeated in 08. we did it in 92 also 13-0 baby. now we want our 13th national championship. 23rd SEC championship. next bowl appearance and next bowl win...the latter 3 being ncaa records

I dont think anyone is questioning how good of a coach Saban is and how good his recruiting class was the big thing is a lot of young players get a lot of PT and in such a tight conference it is unreasonable to expect a team like that to be able to go undefeated. I think most people expected it would be a year or two more before Saban has them where they are now
