I will go ahead and start the thread here for all of you. I will take the Aggies any day against the shorthorns and their leotard white tight pants. AND vegas is giving me 10. Can't wait to see the moneyline!

Once again it was loud in Austin with thoughts of National titles and then they lose to Oklahoma. A little advice to you horns out there, have Mack recruit and hire someone who can coach all that talent in Austin!

So, you think this is just an Aggie talking mess?

Well, lets look at a few things here.

Last year and this year there was 77 points scored in the Oklahoma game with the Aggies. The difference this year is they were not all for Oklahoma.

Texas scored a whopping 12 against the Sooners since they were unable to exploit the weak secondary of Oklahoma. A&M scored 35 and gave the game away. Two mistakes inside the 20. Texas will not be able to exploit the improving secondary of the Aggies either!

Fran said he had a few things set up for Oklahoma this year. Looks like he had the game plan but came one play short of a huge win. Well, actually two brain farts short of a major upset.

Fran has also said he has all sorts of ideas for Texas. It will be a good one!

The BCS guys already gave Texas the help they needed for a chance at a bowl. The Aggies will ruin all this with a likely win in Austin.

A&M will go ahead in this game and make Texas struggle to find a passing game. How good is A&M right now? Good enough to make Stoops burn a redshirt because he was getting his ass handed to him in the secondary.

So, Benson averages 150+ a game? Peterson and Morency had impressive stats also until they met the improving Wrecking Crew.

Texas has just looked beatable just like Oklahoma has this year. Take the 10 points to the bank and play a little on the moneyline!

Don't forget the games they have had this year that were close.

beat Arkansas by 2
beat Missouri by 8
barely beat Kansas

and don't forget Oklahoma State, although they ended up being rolled over I see the game having a first half similar to that game with Texas trailing at the half. No comeback here! Wow, thoughts of that game still makes me want to cry for those guys!

I plan to lay all that was one today in the NFL and more on this one!

Good luck to all!

10 points isn't enough here. A well-rested Texas team will win this game by at least 3 touchdowns. The Aggies offense will be shut down just like the Horns shut down Texas Tech. The Aggies haven't showed they can stop the run in big games. Texas will exploit that. Mack Brown is always getting his coaching abilities ripped. But you don't win 9 or 10 games every year by being a mediocre coach. I've seen Texas improve each week this year on offense. They've incorporated new plays for QB Young. And I'm sure they'll have a few more tricks up their sleeve after 2 weeks off to prepare. After that close game with an improved Kansas team I guarantee you Texas will be prepared. This is game is a no-brainer. Texas rolls.:dancefool

More BCS shananigans and anti west-coast sentiment

Alright, you all know I think Oswald was a patsy, the vote in Florida in 2000 was rigged, and the little green men in my closet ain't m&m's...but explain this.

On a weekend when Cal BLOWS out Stanford and Texas doesn't play, And no one in between them lost, Texas moved from 89 to 39 points behind Cal in the Coach's poll and from 108 to 90 points in the AP Poll.

Texas is getting dangerously close to leapfrogging Cal and playing in the BCS. A blow-out win over A&M might just do the job.

It wouldn't surprise me if Texas leapfrogs California in the BCS. I'm not sure exactly how good either of these 2 teams really are since neither has beat anybody in the top 10. Or top 15 for that matter. But i suspect Calif. has a little bit more complete a team because of their better passing game.

Go Sooners,

So, I guess the Aggies did not get to rest this week either since they were off too! So, are you saying the Texas Defense is better than the Sooners? If it was not for the two brain farts the Ags get the win and the Sooners are out of the national title picture.

Have not proved they can stop the run? Well, maybe stop is true but they have kept many great backs below their average this year. When you slow down a major part of a teams offense, it totally changes the game. For instance, if Benson is slowed down the horns must pass. I have not seen a quarterback for the horns this year, have you?

Don't forget this is still a rivalry game no matter how you look at it. Texas has moved past calling Oklahoma their rivalry game since they call it their annual loss. This game always ends up with crazy things happening which means ten points is plenty.

Texas has improved each week??? What happened at Kansas? Give me a break!

A&M will cover and most likely win this one!

Gemba, I respect what the Aggies have been able to do this year. At the beginning of the season i read in some sports magazine that they were supposed to be one of the most improved teams in the country. Except for the Utah game I've done pretty good betting on the Ags all year. I even went with them when they played the Sooners because they were playing at College Station, which is the most difficult stadium to play at in America.
But they don't have that luxury of playing at home this week. And i suspect Texas will be more than ready with the BCS on the line. As for comparing Texas defense to OU's. I think their pretty close. Although i think OU's defense improved tremendously with Stoops taking the very speedy Marcus Walker out of redshirt. He's done a great job back there and in the last 2 weeks OU hasn't allowed a touchdown.
I hate comparing scores and how much this team scored on that so it should happen this week too. It usually doesn't work that way. An example is OU barely beats A&M who loses to Baylor who gets beat by 35 to OU at home.
I just think Texas and OU both have better personel than A&M this year. I think that could be changing next year and the years to come if coach Fran stays at A&M. But this year I still believe the 2 elite teams in the Big 12 are OU and Texas. :toast:

If Baylor was explainable, I would. Who would of thought the Aggies would almost pull an upset against Oklahoma after that. Which leads me to the point that the Ags will cover the 10.5 and most likely win!

I am headed to the ranch for the weekend tomorrow. I will post when I return on Sunday. I hope that all play this game with my thoughts in mind. It will be a close hard fought game in the end.

There is nothing like being at a high fenced ranch hunting all week and weekend. The sad thing is I have to find a way to get the $400 dollar antenna to work to get the A&M game. Sad but true! Or I will just have to go to a local bar and hang out!

Texas A Sham

Ive placed money on Texas 2 times and lost to an Arkansas team that returned about 2 starters on either side of the ball. And then 22pt favorites against a weak Kansas team and almost lose it. THIS TEAM IS PATHETIC AND CEDERIC BENSON IS VERY OVERATTED. NUFF SAID , TAKE THE FRIGGIN POINTS AND A@M GETTIN UP FOR ANOTHER BIG GAME LIKE THEY DID AGAINST THE SOONERS. Hope this is the last post!!!!

Texas to the bank

Texas will roll on T+1. I like the fact that the Aggies are improving, it's about time. Yall's year is next year.

We are motivated, have the BCS to play for. When Greg Davis gets his head out of his ass, gets some balls, and stops holding back our offense, we put up great numbers.

Cedric Benson overrated? He has those numbers WITH our unbalanced rushing attack. You know what that means? Teams have stacked the box on us all year, and he still gets his numbers. We don't have a "Jason White" heismen to keep the defense honest, but VYoung can run the bootleg, option, etc. that has been very effective.

Stoops may have Brown's number, but Brown has Franchione's number. Let me remind you that yall lost to Baylor and almost lost to Colorado @ home.

Gregg Davis admittedly held back our offense against OU, and the 2 redzone turnover = no points. That's fine, but we held OU to 12 points, which is huge.

Over the last 8 games, Texas is 6-2 SU, 6-1-1ATS. Yall are still a young team, and you might as well make it 7-2 and 7-1-1.
I just can't wait till we woop yall's ass and yall come up w/ the same old excuses: "We ran out of time..." "The ref was out for us..."

How can you root for a team that doesn't even have cheerleaders...

They have cheerleaders, it's just that they are all male. What's up with that? Seems a little gay to me. :WTF:

I must exclude Baylor for this, but the rest is worth looking at.

A&M lost 59-28 last year to Tech and beat them 32-25 this year.

A&M lost to Ok st 38-10 last year and beat them in Oklahoma while they were ranked 36-20.

A&M lost 77-0 to Oklahoma last year and few brain farts kept them away from upsetting them this year. 42-35 Oklahoma final score.

The Texas score last year was 46-15. Based on the missing QB for Texas and the improved numbers for the Aggies I see the +11(Grande) as a gift.

Anyone still thinking that Texas needs to do something to get that BCS bid. If you are thinking that a blowout is necessary to show the BCS system they deserve a BCS bowl, remember they needed the same thing two weeks ago against a weaker Kansas and almost lost.

Texas might not see this as a rivlary as much anymore but the Aggies do and Fran is ready for them!

I am headed to the ranch and I hope that all of your bets go well.

Take the +11 and a play on the moneyline!

Good Luck To All!

Lets just hope that Texas loses to AM and Boise State at #7 in the BCS jumps up to #6 and gets an automatic berth in the BCS.

The BCS then would have Utah and Boise State, two nonBCS schools in it along with Boston College. It would make the BCS look like **** and at the same time hopefully USC will beat OU and AUburn will beat Miami to share the title once again.

Just hope the BCS will look like ****, and advance to 4 game playoff
