I have never seen so many comebacks late in the game since I've watched baseball. Relief pitching is a premium in the game now.

Kind of makes you wonder if you're better off taking the 5 inning line. Not only has it been amazing how may blown leads going into the 9nth, but the amount of runs being scored. In many cases we're not talking just a one run lead.

Amen to that.. TB scores 6 in the bottom of the 9th to win today, Oakland blows a 1 run lead (hardly impressive these days), Dodgers score 4 in the 9th to tie but still lose, Minnesota blows an 8th inning lead. San Diego scores 3 to almost erase a 9th inning 4 run deficit. That was all just yesterday (and TB today) and all games I had money on. BAH!

What ever happened to 8th and 9th innings being the lockdown Setup/Closer innings. Now not even the good closers are shutting anything down.
