jayhawk...Just my two cents on Texas Tech: So far they've played what is statistically right now two of the worst pass defenses in the Big 12 (Kansas & KSU). True Kansas gave up 550 yards of total offense to Tech..But they gave up 670 yards to OU the week before. Kansas also had 5 turnovers against Tech, which made the score worse than what it should have been. If you compare OU's and Tech other common opponent KSU, both teams beat up on them about the same..But OU had this game in the bag in the second quarter with 55 points. And then kind of let off the gas and coasted in the second half. Statistically OU is better than Tech on both sides of the ball. And that comes against a tougher schedule than Tech has faced. So you have to ask yourself, can a team who is probably not as good as OU, still be able to beat Texas? By the way, I think the OSU team that played Texas Saturday is also statistically better and also more balanced than Texas Tech..I'm not saying this isn't going to be a tight game between TT-Tex. But there is no way I would make it any lock of the year. Something else that maybe people outside of Texas don't know: This is a game that goes back to the old Southwest Conference days between these teams. This is almost like a rivalry game to Texas. They very much have this game circled on their calender every year.. Especially when they play in Lubbock. So it's just a reminder, Texas WILL come to play in this game.
