I appreciate how sports betting has evolved. The explosion of the internet has brought a lot of competition and made things better for the player in regards to having more betting options and prices.

I was thinking about the first locals I dealt with in the very early 90's. I was 21 and never imagined gambling over the internet. I'm laughing right now thinking about the things I don't miss from that time.

1. Only being able to call 30 minutes before game time.
2. under/over lost if it landed on the number
3. 1.5 - 2 run lines for bases if the favorite was over 220
4. No parlays more than 3 teams

Guy was 80 back then, and has passed on(R.I.P.), and I have moved on.

What kind of shit did your local do to you if you were ever dumb enough to let him. I am dumb, but I'm learning.

Yeah. Forgot about that early bases shit.

During College Football it was noon-1 then 6:30 to 7 EST. All your stuff had to be in for all the games in those time frames. At least they could have let me fuck myself some more with an IF Bet option.

You know how many times I wanted to load up on Hawaii drunk on a Saturday night.

I still use locals. Im dumb but learning as well but I did convinced one of my guys to give me dime lines in baseball. I can play any baseball total at -110 juice. There are definately some drawbacks but the text message has helped locals.

The office I used to work for didn't take action on baseball teams that were eliminated in September, only pennant contending teams.
Would offer on 20 cent lines on bases..........

Having said that, I know locals, don't use them anymore, but I speak with them, and almost everyone of them to a tee says the internet has not hurt them at all.
