Lloyd Carr leaving Michigan?

There is a rumour that was started on talk radio here in Oklahoma that Lloyd Carr is leaving as head coach of Michigan for medical reasons, and Les Miles of Oklahoma St. is at the top of the list to replace him. Can anybody from big 10 country confirm or deny these rumours? Just wondering.

Maybe one of the posters who get WDFN out of Detroit can chime in but the Chicago sports stations said nothing about it.


If that were the case, wonder if Saban would be interested in that one.

huge Michigan fan since before I could walk and yes that is the rumor. I think they said he has parkensens. The same as Michael J fox. I heard that rumor about 3 months ago but can't confirm if its true or not. I hope not though.

I can't help but think Miles would be interested since he's a Michigan alum.

I would like to see them get a big name guy. accually I hope he doesn't leave. I think Carr is a very good coach. And they are on the verge of a posible national championship. If the freshman QB and freshman RB improve even more over the next 2 years look out for Michigan in 2006. If you would've told me before the season started that we would end up 9-2 with a freshman QB and no RB, I would've definatly took it.


Oh something just occured to me. god please not Willingham. I never liked him as a coach.

Carr is not leaving yet... Parkinsons has a long time table, my father has it as well...

and when he does retire Michigan will either stay in house or hire a NFL guy...
