I think that the line has settled in at where it SHOULD be here.

This Curacao team has SPEED, and put a lot of pressure on opposing defenses, and let's not forget that this Hawaii team has struggled to hit once the competition level stepped up the last couple games.

I will go against the world with Curacao here.

Bet is in at +170, but feel the line at 150 where it is now is where it will end up and where it should, although I actually feel Curacao has the edge here with a better #2 starter and when hits are hard to come by(which isn't likely, but possible), speed and slick defense will prevail.

3 Units of possible 5 for me on the Curacao club(+170)

I think the conception that this Hawaii team isn't a slick fielding team with speed, is a common, but wrong one. These kids are so physically mature compared to Curacao, it is scary.

Curacao will throw Sorick Liberia: 8IP: 1H, 11K, 3 BB, 0ER. those Numbers are good, but it is important to remember who they were against. 6 of those Innings came against Saudi Arabia, a team that absolutely sucked. I think those numbers are Inflated. The other 2 IP, came against a Venezuela team with only 1 truly decent Play (Richard Alvarez Jr.).

These teams have made the same # of errors in 5 games (4), and neither team has made an error once the Championship round started.

Liberia throws Mid to upper 70's. Comes over the top. I think they will be ok.

Ump blew that call at the plate.

I hate to bash an umpire that is volunteering. Granted he didn't have the angle. But he should have made an educated guess that he got the tag.

I agree. Terrible call by the umpire. Would have gotten out of the inning with only one run. He definitely got the leg.

Let's go Hawaii bats! Get hot! :suomi:

I think some of these foriegn umpires are bad. This Hawaii team is really a great hitting team. Their OPS is probably off the charts. They realluneed to keep swinging at onl strikes. Basehit. Playing 4 feet from the wall is dumb, bad move by Curacao.

Curacao changing pitchers, I think this will be Garia. I saw him throw against Guam. He threw well, but he's nothing special. I think this game might get ugly soon.

Bud, errors made is not always indicative of fielding, for instance, the kid made a BAD play by not running at the kid who was trapped on the rundown on the tag play, also Cal Ripken made very few errors at short, but he was not a SLICK fielder, the bottom line here for me was that these Curacao kids know how to play, they were defending champs, and I took advantage of an inflated line, which I thank all of you for.

P.S. I do NOT feel that anyone on Hawaii at -115 made a bad play however, as I surely judged this game as a tossup, and took the value.

3 more outs to go still, and I am by no means counting my chickens yet.

WOW!!! :smoker2:

What a game! Hawaii had bases loaded twice without an out and Curacao really beared down and got the outs. At least we got the tie.

Great game nonetheless.

I didn't see the base tag/touch on the almost double play in the bottom of the 6th. Hawaii should be champs right now.
