I believe this little Casino on the Strip, back in early Ninties, was the original book to give free half points, off the line. They did this on Friday nights. This book was also famous for taking some good size plays. It was definately the place to make your wagers back in the day.

The free half points on Fridays were also done at CIRCUS CIRCUS, as well as Little Ceasers like you mentioned.

I never made it up to Circus, to far off the strip for me.You could go from the back entrence from Ballys thru the Parking lot and over to Little caesars. I was kind of leary going thru that parking lot with rolls of cash, kinda figuring I would get mugged sooner or later.

FISHHEAD -

Any truth to the rumor that in the late 80s/early 90s there was a small independent Vegas book (maybe Little Caesar's) that posted lines on "supplemental" college games not in the official rotation, and took bets with very low limits (like $100).

Other (non-Vegas) books would go with these lines, and every once in a while a bad line was posted on purpose on some of these games involving obscure teams so that those "in the know" could bet into the bad line?

Jdodger - Back in that era late 80's to early 90's quite a few Vegas books carried what were called "Added" games. Stardust, Little Ceasars's, even Palace Station to name a few. Most if not all accepted low limit bets only, I seem to recall $500 at some spots. The 2nd. question about a bad line is debatable, could it have happened - sure, did it - not sure. I do know that there were some added game specialists that made some excellent money playing the added games only.

Mayday took nickels on the Added Games, I used to play a few there on Friday nights when in town, he would have all the NM St, Ark St, La-Laf, NLU, Utah St,etc..which sometimes had wild line drifts on games of interest.

GM & Blackie set good numbers, and though the limits were miniscule in scale to what most pros play by units, his numbers were shaped well by the LV smarts, and also often moved several points by runners with walking money for sharp offices back in their hometowns on "tip games."

The Lunatic, Mindlin, etc..play where their parameters apply..Added Games included...the entire board if the numbers fit.

LC was as sharp on "Added Games" as any store in LV..then again that statement applied to most all sporting events.
