Cole Hamels?

Would not be in my top 15. Maybe not top 20.

He hit rock bottom....His stock is dropping the way he`s pitched in his last few starts.

Cueto?

C'mon guys. Cueto is a a good SP. But top 5 in the game? No.

Just cuz he's being shopped around right now, doesn't mean you need to include him in you top 5 you are gonna roll with the rest of the year.

yeah he didn't say top 5 then looking at thread title again he did in that case they are all the same

got 3 guys nobody wants :toast:

He pitches half his games in one of the premier hitters' parks in the game and still has stupid stats. How many aces have the Reds had over the years? How many pitchers have left and looked good with a change of address? Cueto is a stud.

Speaking of... I'm going for a brag. I still remember years ago when I told everyone here I like Cueto over the can't miss Edinson Volquez and Joey Votto over the can't miss Jay Bruce. This is when all 4 players were just getting called up. I'm wrong at times but I nailed that sum bitch.

Probably the best curve in baseball. Plays in a park that is awful for pitchers and still puts up elite stats. I love his repertoire.

Mufucka. I considered Harvey and Kluber. Love them both but they aren't at that elite level just yet. Forgot about Jose. Love Fernandez. I'd take him over Scherzer any day. He's top 5 worthy.

Right now you'd take Jose Fernandez over Max Scherzer? You know how odd that sounds right?

I'm not saying Hamels is a gas can. He's good. But like I said, I wouldn't put him in with the top 15 pitchers in MLB right now.

Right now? To finish this season? NO way I would. Not with him coming off that injury. Just too much uncertainty. I would want to see him get a few more starts in.

I'll take the sure bet and go with Scherzer.

3 Mets but no Matz? I really just wanted to make that stupid pun. I'm not even sure what Matz is capable of.

I left him off on purpose....lol.......He looked good only 2 starts though.

Kershaw, Felix, Sale, Cueto, Hamels.

Scherzer is a stud but someone had to get cut. Hamels has as much potential as anyone even though he's not doing so hot lately. I'm not sure his heart is into it on a horrible team with trade rumors all year. At his best he's possibly the best in the game IMO.

Hamels:think2:

How in the hell do you put Sonny Gray on your list and leave off David Price??? And this question comes from someone very knowledgeable of the Vandy stable. Some of your other picks I agree with 100%.
