Neteller and Firepay now history.

What will be the most comman method of sending and recieving funds?

Will they still allow direct deposit and withdrawl from your bank?

Will Western Union still be an option?

As it stands right now, Betcris and Betjam will be the only 2 books I can send money to directly if all the methods are closed.

on top of Western Union, you also should have the option of sending a certified check, it'll take awhile (overnight the very quickest) but at least it's still an option.

Correct me if I'm wrong....but Neteller only won't be able to accept credit cards right? They should still be able to take instacash or whatever they call it where they electronically debit your account. Also re: payouts, this bill doesn't stop them from utilizing the payout system with the ATM cards correct?

Even if Neteller goes away, many new options will come up.

I will be very very surprised if the top 10-20 books do not get togther and offer a neteller like service with a Cris like debit card. It would save the millions that they currently pay neteller to move money.

Why do Pinnacle and Cris both want to pay 3% when I move money from Cris to Pinnacle through neteller...

Well if you have gone to Netellers site in the last few days they make you sign a new user agreement that states if the bill gets signed they will no longer do anymore gambling transactions from the US.

Neteller is done. So is Firepay.

Neteller won't go away Sean, it's just going to impact the companies they can do business with (offshore books). Check out their site, they have a news release stating they are planning on it adversely affecting some of the companies they do business with.

Are you talking about the Oct 2nd release? I don't see any more recent ones and this one certainly does not what they will do if this act passes. If anything it says there will be a period of time where they wait and see what happens. This will be well into the Spring and past football.

Neteller may go away. We shall see. If it does, I will solve my problem with 1 day in Canada. I am not too concerned. I encourage the rest of you to do the same.

I also believe if neteller chooses to drop US transactions, someone will initiate a hostile takeover of neteller at the current ridiculously low price making it private again and reopen it.. Too much money to be made to let a company that stockpiled $150M in cash dissapear.

I know it can be done, but does the new legislation ban payments by paper check or does it only ban payment by electronic methods.

Yea, I read that and called them up on it. I asked point blank, if the bill passes will you quite doing business in the US? The person told me most likely.

I hope that was just a clerk who did not know one way or the other.

I hope your right.

I've asked in chat 3 times and they have no clue...

I highly doubt any of the clerks or chatters are privy to the conversations between the board and the lawyers.

If I had to place a bet now, I would bet Neteller does not know what they will do yet.

Pinnacle already has this service with their account-to-account transfer option that includes many books including Cascade, Rio, Matchbook, etc. I believe the problem is that Cris and Olympic won't do transfers to Pinnacle.
