In Alabama, all liquor stores must buy there booze from a "state store" - this includes restaurants and bars too. The kicker is that these state stores are open to the public - anyone can buy booze there at a deep discount, but most of them are only open from say 9 to 5. Liquor stores have to buy at their cost - mark it up - and stay open all night to sell to the drunks. I think you can make a living at it, but it is far from a slam dunk IMO.

In Ohio where we have 88 counties. Each county has ONE lick her store that gets the contrat to sell all the booze that is served to every resturant in the WHILE COUNTY.

So if you go to any place to eat in Miami County Ohio that serves booze (not beer or wine), that booze came from ONE lick her store.

So imagine a county with a city like cleveland or columbus or cincy and all the places that you can go out to eat that serve booze, and imagine ALL THAT BOOZE being sold via one state lick her store.

The "contracts" to be the Counties supplier of choice for all the eat em up joints are very coveted. It's very political.........
