I understand the primary advantage of Don Best/G&J over the free services here at TheRX or at SBRLines is speed.

Does anyone have any experiences with G&J, and a comparison of how their silver service is for recording price movements? I understand everything will be slower than DB, but just how much slower? And how much quicker than the free services?

Also, does any other competitors in this field?

I'm going to get a trial of the service next week, but will probably end up subscribing to the silver, as not sure I can justity the cost of the gold..

I have been using G&J gold service since the beginning of last football season and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for real time lines at a relatively reasonable price.

I have also tried Don Best premium and Jim Fiest sportstracker.

If you've never tried DB, here's a free shot. It's an incredible tool. Rick is always been a class act. I have a few enhancement ideas for him about a year ago, and he was extremely receptive to the new ideas.

What I can't find on your site is a list of the books you support. I do 90% of my betting on the exchanges these days, usually Mansion/Matchbook over Betfair. I notice that G&J include these, and whilst not a dealbreaker (I want the service to beat moves after all), it would be useful to have. Do you have/plan to offer these exchanges?

G& J Update

I am a lurker here more than anyting else , but that does not mean i have not any experience, quite the contrary, having been in the business over 30 years. I hate to see a monopoly in anything even line services. I think more competition helps us in the long run and keeps every body honest, that being the best thing. Don Best has got a great product and having been with them since the inception, i am sure not tearing them down . They have a great product and are always on the cutting edge of something new. However, with that being said i think G& J have now got a great product also. I tried them twice before and usually as new companies go, they had some problems.I dropped them twice, before coming back, for i hope the last time.I think they really have got all the bugs out and seem to really have go a great product now. They are on top of all moves, the screen is now user friendly, moves are faster, and everthing seems to be top notch. If you want ,have both services like i do , or if you want to save some money, try their new service. I don!t think you will be dissapointed .Now i have to get back to work, that i the main reason i just lurk, no time to do anything else. Thank goodness the Main Sport is only afew weeks away.

For any pro gambler you really have to have both services. To bet with the best information you have to have ALL the information. both services get a lot of the same information, both services get some unique information.

If cost is an issue, I think G&J has the edge.

Rick, you have a great product. You have been the industry leader and standard for years. Privately I could tell you where you could improve (as I wont list them on the board) and I am sure you could do the same for me.

With Silver it is a set 2 min delay. You still have 100% functionality with the 2 minute delay.

Its hard for me to say this, because DB has paid to be an advertiser here... SO I dont want to step on any toes. But since I didnt start this thread, or ask for it to be started I feel like I should be able to give out this info without it being a problem. If not my post will be edited. But if you check out our website there is a free 2 week trial right on the front page.
