Line Service users - Don't forget, you now have many choices

With football around the corner, many players are getting ready to either renew or resume with Don Best.

However, this year is different as there are now multiple viable options for customers. SportsOptions, G&J Update and LinesMover are all fantastic alternatives to DB, at a fraction of the price. And even better than just lower prices, all of the competition in the line service market has brought new features and faster information.

So remember, customers benefit most from competition. Don Best has already dropped their football package by nearly 20%. Support these new companies and the end result will be more innovation, better information and lower prices.

All services offer a free trial, so you don't have anything to lose by trying them out.

Until the others catch up to Don Best, the offices and pros will pay the higher fee.

Hell in some cases with multiple, you can get the price down to around $350 a month

Ticket - I like your feedback :103631605, but Tortillera is right - when it comes to number of subscribers, DB is still top dog.

Tortillera - What do you think a service needs to be in order for line managers to consider it? I agree that people are reluctant to change, but our approach is to keep getting our service in front of managers and in time they will not only begin to trust our information, but will realize that we are faster and more accurate. I know it will take time, but the proof is there - we beat Don Best on 95% of all injuries, our lineups are out faster and our halftime and final scores are more accurate.

Thanks!

I believe that injuries are overrated because someone always steps up...seems to me in my experience that injury games bite you in the ass...

I agree but I wasn't only referring to injuries, finals and correct half time scores are a big plus besides others

My opinon about line services is that you CANNOT trust only one...everyone makes mistakes...books make a big mistake by trusting only one line service...

What happened to the good old days of bookmaking when there were no line services, internet, and touts...I am in my element when there are power outages....funny watching clerks and managers sweating phone calls when there is no power...if you ask bookmakers, there was more money to be made before the internet..

But I agree everything is easier now and times do change..just wonder how this generation would book without the internet....

Don't mind me, bored and just daydreaming....

I love writing hand tickets, if I was the one moving the money I would be worried though as you dont really see where the money is like you would with the system running. Sucks for post up shops when the shit goes down but in the credit biz you dont have as much to worry about IMO.

Is there any other service besides DonBest? (sarcasm)

Agree, don best has no match, probably the rest of the line services use don best as their resource...

Konig -

I can't speak for other services, but SportsOptions does not need to use anybody else for our information.

Just yesterday we sent out the following players not in the starting lineups, all before DB:

Mike Jacobs (Florida went from +136 to +144)
Albert Pujols (St. Louis went from -141 to -127)
Brian McCann (Atlanta went from -186 to -178)
Adrian Gonzalez (Opposite side of Pujols notice)
Josh Hamilton (Texas went from +121 to +141)

And as for halftime and final scores, anybody that uses SportsOptions can confirm that we do not copy DB. Why would we when we are more accurate than them?

I know how everybody feels about DB - I was there for almost a decade! But the fact is that there are now other options that not only deliver superior information, but do it at a fraction of the cost.

Thanks
Rick
