Lifetime Records against opponents ?

Those anyone know a site where I can find a pitcher's lifetime record against the opponent he is facing that day? Espn's site will tell you their record against their opponent for this season but not their overall lifetime record.

A few databases go back to 1999. While not a life time, it is 5 years. Phoenix has it. Hit the drop down and it will give the option for database.

I always wondered why the USA TODAY got rid of this stat on their probables.

Try www.jimfeist.ca for a lot of info including career records vs opp. Open page and click on weather. Column to left has some great info ($$ breakdowns, game snapshots, pitcher logs, etc.)

Why worry about lifetime records? I think 5 years is easily long enough. Or does it matter to you how Mike Mussina did pitching against the Rangers back when they had Palmeiro, Sierra, and Gonzalez as their big bats?

Sportspage you will find what you are looking for if you go to cbssportsline.com and go to the scoreboard. In the preview writeups on the right side of the page it will show the pitcher's picture, stats, including lifetime record and e.r.a.
