That seems to be the new liberal catch phrase to rationalize their pummeling in the election. Somehow the libs have convinced themselves that garnering 48% of the vote wasn't that bad, and that losing by over 3 million votes they were still pretty close. Time for the libs to get real. Let the purges of the Democratic party begin.

American, It ain't gonna change!

Think about it;
The Democrat leadership hasn't changed - It's still Gephardt and Pelosi and Byrd and Kennedy - all of the same old faces using all of the same old tactics. Voices of reason like Joe Leiberman have been marginalized.
Excepting Pelosi, this is the same leadership that was in power when the Dems ruled both houses - and Pelosi is a die hard San Francisco liberal. These p[eople are all true believers in the party line, and they will not change because they believe that they are right.
They don't understand that the Nation is shifting slowly to the right and their constituencies are as rabidly Democrat as they are - these are all Blue state people.

Until the Democrat majority swings to the right themselves, the party domination by the liberal left won't change.

The DEms might get a person in the White House every now and then, but it'll be a generation or more and a complete makeover of the party before they'll be in any kind of condition to challenge the Republicans.

26% of the voting population voted for Bush.

No, that is not a mandate.

Lander, you can twist it any way you want, ther Repunblicans are in total control - only a filibuster can stop them - so the few conservative Dems left will be the most powerful Dems in the Senate. The Conservatives win either way!

Lander, a few aspirin and some Maalox might help, nothing else will!

Nothing lies better than statistics, as you know Lander. What percent did the other guy get? I'm guessing about 22%. Without the media on the libs' side, they would have gotten about 15%.

It's being called one of the closest elections in history.

A whopping 3% difference and wannabeamerican calls it a pummeling, typical righty slant.

Good post lol.

Geez Doc - you think of the German Hitler and the Bund, while I think of the American Hitler and his Bund - LBJ and the Democrat Congress in the 60's - you remember Vietnam, Don't you? Talk about evil - they tried to use the final solution on the poor by sending them to Vietnam.

Isn't the reality that NO INCUMBENT HAS LOST during a time of war?

No way in hell Bushy and Rove didn't know this going into office after the first appointment. And still, the opponent got the second most votes in history.

It's frustrating to see you guys stick by Bush because he's Republican and for no other reason -- that is more anti-American than any liberal hissy fit.

Lander, You're right - but he also picked up - what? - about 10 seats in both houses? How many second termers have ever done that; actually gained seats in BOTH houses at the start of their second term.

Lander - don't piss into the wind - you'll get wet.

Kaya - what are you taslking about? You're as bad as my wife - I'm talking apples and she starts talking about oranges.

I do not think that Bush picked up seats in the House.

I think that can be attributed to the Dems being a bunch of unorganized pansies.

Lander - all of the rationalization in the world won't change the facts - Bush DID pick up seats in both houses - as well as a few more governors mansions.

If the Dems had won, you'd be saying it was their agenda - since they've lost, you're blaming theior lack of organization rather than face the facts - it's the Republican agenda that probably beat the Democrats.

Lander - you're obviously still in denial - take a few aspirin and have a nap -

I'm not a Dem Blight, so I really could care less about their success. In all honestly, you must have some serious mental limitations if you cannot understand the simple notion of "anti-Bush does not equate to liberal Dem."

Lander's not a lib...he just thinks the dems are the lesser of two evils. I think it's brainwashing on the part of the libs to make him think that. Really I think the guy is smart but being duped.

WHY GEORGE W. BUSH WAS REWARDED
WITH ANOTHER FOUR YEARS

On the contrary, I want to take a moment to thank all the hard working, loyal, genuine, dedicated supporters of George W. Bush, the people who never had one doubt, who never gave up and who knew the same as I did, that OUR FEARLESS LEADER, George W. Bush would be re-elected.

RNC Scott Hogenson, Ed Gillespie, Jim Dyke, Greg Chapin
Congressman J.D. Hayworth
Senators Zell Miller & Bill Frist
Carolyn Weyforth & Brian Walton at BC04
Mary Matalin & Ann Coulter
Arnold Schwartzenegger & Col. Oliver North
Every member of our Military, past and present-Thank you for keeping us safe!
All the Swift boat Veterans and Vietnam veterans-you have truly been vindicated and I’m so sorry you had to wait so long to be recognized for your valor, thank you for your service to our country
All the country music artists, and columnists across America
All the other conservative radio talkers
Eric Scheie & all the other bloggers for Bush

Most Importantly, all the airline pilots, firemen, police officers, physicians, auto mechanics, waitresses, Catholics, Jews, and Christians, the Mothers & Fathers across America! You are the real heart and soul of America, Thank you.

Over the last 10 months we’ve invested 100% of our hearts & souls into helping our fearless leader achieve another four years in the White House.

You did it America; you restored my faith in the human species. I was so close to thinking that our country was going to hell in a hand basket, but now I know: THERE ARE MORE OF US THAN THERE ARE OF YOU!
We have to remember, GOD has answered our prayers. Now make good on all the promises you made when praying to GOD. THANK YOU

Gordon, this is especially for you, I also want to thank you for giving me the latitude to program this show the way I have over the last ten months. Bombarding everyone with important political information, so they could take the best decision on election day. You have made my daughter’s future brighter, and a safer place to live. Thank you Gordon!

*I know there are so many more people who volunteered, knocked on doors, made telephone calls, raised money for the campaign, stood on the streets holding signs, and tolerated vicious remarks from the ‘other side’, for your hard work and dedication, I thank you. I’m sorry to those whom I’ve neglected to mention or include on this list. Just know that everyone’s efforts paid off. We are a much safer nation with George W. Bush at the helm, our supreme Commander in Chief.

"Kaya - what are you taslking about? You're as bad as my wife - I'm talking apples and she starts talking about oranges."

You're making some claim that libs tried to eliminate the poor by sending them to Nam, I'm pointing out that it's almost always the poor that get sent to war. The apples and oranges expression doesn't apply here but good try.

"IT’S NOT PRESIDENT BUSH WHO HAS SEPARATED OUR COUNTRY, IT’S YOU VULGAR JERKS!"

Starting a war that barely half of the population supports will always divide a nation. Thanks for participating and be sure to pick up your lovely parting gifts.

Typical righty, if you're not on my side you're the enemy.

Isn't ironic to see righties go on and on about bush haters when there has never been a greater example of a partisan attack against one elected official in our history than the 8 years of Clinton persecution.

1. We knew that was Hillary's presidency for 8 years. Slick Willy was the puppet. Maybe if he actually ever took the presidency seriously I would've taken him more seriously.

2. This war will end tyranny and make the world a safer place to live. Unlike the Liberal fantasy world where everyone joins hands and sings "Give Peace a Chance" there are terrorists and unruly dictators who threaten the security and the safety of us and other nations around the world. At least we're not afraid to stand up to these lunatics. Thank God for GWB and 4 more years!

3. If the "righty's" were so unpopular in this country why do the "righty's" control the House, Senate AND the Presidency?!! Looks like there are enough "righty's" in this world to make the world right and they raised their voices loud enough in the voting booth on election day.

Wow, sounds like you're talking about Ronnie Ray-gun!

Thank god that's the end of tyranny, I feel so much safer now that you've cleared that up, btw didn't all those televised beheadings start after we got into this Iraq shitt, oh well not to worry the world's safer now.

tyranny:
1 : oppressive power <EVERY tyranny over the mind of man -- Thomas Jefferson>; especially : oppressive power exerted by government

Patriot Act

2 a : a government in which absolute power is vested in a single ruler; especially : one characteristic of an ancient Greek city-state b : the office, authority, and administration of a tyrant

Guess that one doesn't apply since dicky pulls georgie's strings.

3 : a rigorous condition imposed by some outside agency or force

Ivasion and occupation of Iraq.

No one has ever gone broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public, the right has capitalized on this very well.
