Can someone explain to me why they are 60-1 to win bcs?

Aren't they wearing the same shoes as alabama?...if not better? They lost AT lsu ..bama lost home to olé miss

Can we all agree that it helps Florida if lsu wins tomorrow. ....let's say that happens and then Florida wins out and beats Lsu in sec championship then how on earth are they left out when it's pretty much a given if bama wins out they are in.

I must be missing something seeing as they are +6000

Forgot to go the other likely route.

So if olé miss and Florida win out then they play each other in Sec championship......florida beats them then how do you take bama over Florida with the common opponent ?.....if anything maybe u can make the argument that Lsu should get in over florida and bama

...and another thing. If Seminole beat clemson tomorrow then I think florida controls it's own destiny if they win out.

Bama at 5 to 1 and lsu at 9 to 1 just seems so skewed compared to Florida at 60.

They played at lsu well right after their qb situation got messed up. I don't love their qb but he's poised and if he can just manage a game (similar to what you'd expect from bama and lsu QBs) then Florida's D is good enough to carry them

Your logic to get in the playoff holds water, but I think they have little to no chance to win 3 big games in a row with their offense.

So i had this lengthy debate with my friend this week. I just posted my updated NC picks and went ahead and put 200 on Florida to win 10,000. I only had +5000 odds. My buddy attempted to take LSU. I had to walk through this with him and quite frankly - i could not agree with you more.

Florida has to get passed FSU - 1 rival game. Not a given; nothing ever is. But I will take this years Florida over FSU at a pick 'em. Florida now advances to the SEC championship game. They advance whether they beat FSU or not.

LSU was +600 on my site - are you kidding me? LSU should be +3000 or even higher right now. You have to go on the road and play Bama as a 6-7 point dog and then play Ole Miss. You have to win BOTH. You have to advance to the SEC championship game and face Florida. So LSU would win over Bama, Ole Miss, and Florida.

You want to give me +600 that they A) beat those three teams and B) win two more games after it? Like against Ohio State, Clemson, Oklahoma, Stanford, or Notre Dame?

Shit...if they did that...beat 5 teams like that and won it all. #1 they some bad ass mofos. and #2 i still want +3000+ when playing them before they play those 5 games.

Anyway, go Gators. Win it all.

I have strong gut they don't cover tomorrow vs Vandy

Yeah KJ, we got no O but gots lots of D, but that's standard protocol. That being said, Gators have a lot of both. I don't bet on or against my homeboys, but I'd lay the points here if ya put a gun to my head.

20-6 tomorrow.

again, gators have their eye on 1 thing: FSU and SEC Championship. Win those two games and they go from losers to heros in 1 year...Urban Meyer type of turn around.

And personally, if they can beat the SEC West...they can play with anyone else. That's how wide open this year is. Florida would go blow for blow with most from the Big 12, Big 10, and Pac 12. I'm sure i just offended someone...I don't want to argue, but i would love to see Florida against Stanford, Baylor, TCU, Ohio State, MSU, Notre Dame, or Clemson...could make a case for Florida against all of them.

Now, I'm not a homer...i could replace Florida and tell you Oklahoma has that same chance this year the way they are coming on. It's going to be such a wild finish boys.

First home game in over a month. I see Waterloo for Vandy here. GL

I here you. I see a letdown here off Georgia game for Florida and see some energy after getting shutout and blown out by Vandy who always play Gators tough. 21 is too many!

Just trying to play devils advocate on myself but if Seminole lose tomorrow and gators win out and best olé miss then is their schedule too easy?...would they dare leave out the SEC champ?...they did once before with bama but how in the world can u take bama over Florida in this scenario if gators beat olé miss Twice and thats the 1 team bama lost to?

I'll sleep on it tonight but as of now I gotta put a unit on that florida future.

If lsu and Seminoles both win tomorrow then Florida future will plummett.....Seminole winning would mean more though b/c ACC would be out of picture which could potentially let bama And Florida get in.

Ps. Notre Dame doesn't belong imo. College football wants it but they would get spanked by any1 in the playoffs. ....of all the teams in top ten besides Iowa they are the one I'd want first rd

Huge gator fan here. As much as I love my gators and as excited as I am about this season that we never saw coming.... Florida isn't winning a national championship this year. Treon and the offensive line are not championship material. There's a reason why the playoff committee has them at #10 and not higher

At +6000 i dont need them to win...just need them to make it ;)

heck, i think if things go right i can maybe even start hedging it in 3 weeks against seminoles and make a profit.

They scored how many against Houston........, I can't HEAR YOU! Another goose egg today, it's up to Florida to put the board boy to work.

From +6000 to +4500 overnight at 5dimes

Somebody reading this thread ;)

Got 400 to make 24k on it before went to bed.

Rooting for lsu to win or at least keep it close today and def rooting for clemson to lose.

Another angle I thought about is that LSU losing today but winning out the rest of their games could possibly screw florida.

Despite florida winning sec they could say lsu beat them and bama beat lsu

If florida beats Lsu or bama in title game then I think they are in......if they beat olé miss for a 2nd time it's possible that doesn't mean enough....it's a catch 22 because olé miss is certainly a better line for Florida but might not be sold enough of a team

The Gators came-out from "no where" this year.....The perception still is that they aren't anywhere near ready to make a run at a NC. That (7) point loss at Baton Rouge was a great learning experience; if it wasn't for that LSU (fake-kick") score, who knows what the outcome of the game might have been. The Gators now have a direct track to the SEC Championship game which is played on a neutral site, so.......if they meet Alabama or LSU they will have a shot at the win.

Bear in mind that Florida still has some "regular season" work to do in the SEC not-to-mention FSU. Its a long season no matter how you add it up......a lot can happen. With that said, I feel the Gators have a lot of momentum going and that QB still has a lot to learn/prove, he is not a proven commodity, so, I feel they will NOT let-down today......The Gators as a team have a lot of inertia going for them and I think they feel they still have a lot to prove. Today's game? I'm not sure Vanderbilt will be able to score again the Gator defense which plays with a lot of pride. I'm going to lay the (20'). Good luck which ever way you go.

Florida was my best bet today. I read an article from a Gainsville newspaper and answered these questions myself and feel very confident in my play. I do not feel that they will have a letdown today after losing the last two ,homecoming games. They have not been home for 1 month. I feel that they will play with passion and fire today...."if not my money will go down the drain (LOL).** How much will Florida’s patchwork offensive line struggle against a solid Vanderbilt defensive front? (this is the one That I struggle a little with)
** Will UF quarterback Treon Harris’ accuracy improve, or will he again struggle with consistency? ( Treon will have a very good day)
** In his personal homecoming, will Vanderbilt running back Ralph Webb, a former Gainesville High standout, have a big game? ( a decent enough game)
** Will the Florida defense continue to produce turnovers against a Vandy team that is 122nd in the nation in turnover margin? (yes)
** Will the Gators’ place-kicking woes continue? ( no... today the kicking game will be on point)

Hilltop: In what way did the Florida kicking game improve (over night). I'm still baffled by this woe.....The Gators, historically, always had great kicking teams.

ugly ugly win today that def didn't help their stock. FSU let it slip away against clemson also which woulda been nice for florida. ole miss loss is another strike against floridas schedule.

but the positive from it is that bama looked really really good tonight so if they face them in SEC title game and the line is bama -10 and Florida pulls the upset then i'm HOPING the committee lets florida in. is their schedule respectable enough to get them in over notre dame ? if florida wins out and BIG 12 picks eachoter apart or if ohio state loses then I think florida would have to get in....i'm just not sure if big 12, big ten, clemson all get in if they will put Florida in with notre dame right there also.
