My thoughts...I do not think we see RA run in the Belmont, she has proved her Point. And though I think MTB will love the distance as he proved today, I think they do not run him and send him maybe to the Travers...All thoughts are welcome and we will watch this play out.

I hope they don't run her, although its good for the sport and I know the sport needs the publicity but its a risk..

3 races in 5 weeks with the last one being a mile and a half seems like a lot.. I really hope they do NOT run her.

I would say it is less then a 20% chance that she will be at the Belmont.

Its going to have to be another horse that hasnt run in the Derby or Preakness, he will easily win if its the same horses

Would make no sense whatsoever not to run him.

He's clearly the best of the boys this year. If it weren't for the filly entering the shortest of the Triple Crown races we would likely be looking at the first Triple Crown winner in over a quarter of a century.

Not run him? Silly.

Winning two legs of the Triple Crown and being a close second in the third is worth mucho buckos to the breeders.

They'd be outright crazy not to run him (barring injury of course).

He is a gelding so I dont know how they would breed him.I bet mind that bird owners wish they would have blocked the philly from entering now. We very well would have seen a tripple crown winner I think the belmont sets up perfect for him aslong as he still has something left in his tank

Too bad this horse is a gelding which means no cash for the breeders so he will be running barring what the trainer thinks how the horse came out of the race if think this horse is fit enough.

Ooops. Brain fart. Thanks for the correction guys.

Guess that makes running for the big Belmont purse even more important.

Believe that Rachel Alexandra is done and off to the breeding barn. Mine That Bird may run, but I'm not convinced that he is a lock to win. In a likely slow paced race around two wide sweeping turns, his chances could be compromised and not be able to show that long sustained run that he did chasing fast early paced fractions in both the Derby and Preakness. I think his chances of winning will depend on who enters. But it's worth trying just for the purse money.

... i think Rachel will run 3 more times this year...belmont, then some race in late August and then the breeders cup....I think these new owners are nutz..but want to show her off for the sport....they need the sport to thrive to continue doing what they are doing and a superstar helps a ton...
