Sorry I'm late with my weekly Thread ... Was down in Florida and just didn't have the time to start it Wednesday..

Update on my Solo Entry for the LVH Super Contest .... for the 3rd week in a row I went 3-2, which gives me a Overall record of 26-13-1 ( 26.5 points ) and Tied for 41st
it currently keeps me in the Money ( they pay Top 50 ) But Currently the Top 5 guys are Hitting an Amazing 75% or Better !!!
So my 66.7% ain't going to cut it....

Last night's Game I just went with Gravy's Great call / Info to jump on the Bengals Early -10.5. Thank you Sir..

Sooo, as Always ... I ask what have we Learned from the Week before ?

I Learned to Stop going against The Vikings ..... even though I lost with the Bears after leading most of the game, and I thought they played pretty good, until the end.

We Learned that the Lions do Suck ! Oh wait a minute, I think we Learned that the week Before ... lol

We Learned that You can win the Over in the 1st Half of a NFL game , ala NYG / NO Saints

We Learned that I could be Right some times when I said last week that the Falcons are Gassed

We Learned that the Baltimore Ravens just might be coming around, even though they didn't cover for me last week ( knew the hook was going to be a killer )

We Learned that the Raiders are Looking Real good , but will we Learn they are the Real Deal ??

at the same time we Learned that the NY Jets played Horrible Defense last week, and I can't even Blame Geno Smith !

We Also Learned that Peyton Manning can Still Throw a Football .... We haven't learned that All year up until last week... No TD passes, but 21/29 and 340 yards

At the Same time we might have Learned that Rodgers just can't cut it on the Road...

We also Learned that the 7-0 Panthers can Come back and win a game after giving up a big lead .... But they did Look Gassed in the 4th Qt.

I'll be back with some Info, Injuries, etc..

BOL !

I'm surprised, but at the same time not, how quickly people can jump off the Aaron Rodgers band wagon. The guy comes out flat on the road, off a bye, vs the best defense in the league, and all of sudden people don't have faith he can beat CAR. The game this week means much more to GB than the game at DEN last week. Will have huge impact on home field advantage for the NFC playoffs.

I like the Rams +2.5

I also like the Packers....Not sure about laying the 2.5 though....I think the ML is really a safe play....Panthers get tagged with a loss here...Makes you wonder why the Packers who are coming off a loss at Denver and now they are favored on the road against a undefeated team....ML is -134

Good luck!

Why would you pay the juice on GB when you can get -2.5? Odds are this game doesn't end 1-2 point diff. about 8% chance. is it worth the juice?

1 pt 4.27%
2 pts 3.74%

I lean the Rams as well, but a little Gun-shy because I have been burnt betting against the Vikings

I also like GB a little but might just stay away

Not saying you werent right, but we could have also learned that Tampa Bay is a more complete team than we thought after bouncing back on the road after tough loss. Now coming home as a dog again versus what appears to be a terrible defense in the giants. Seems like a decent spot for Tampa here to be catching points. Winston has played a lot better of late (no INTs in the last three games I believe).

Yes, last week I also added that I liked TB because they have been scoring a lot of points lately
But I'm not really buying that they can match up with the Giants this week... But you never know

Steelers -4+. Don't let LeVeon being out scare you. D. Williams is a very good back. No way in hell Ben takes it up the ass two weeks in a row, and while I like the Raiders, Steelers win this by no less than a touch.

Thats the rub. How do we know Ben won't play bad again? Because we don't WANT him to?

Really? Over a month out of the saddle. Frankly, and I'm from "The Burgh," I took Cincy in that game. No way in God's Green Earth you can expect a QB to come back first game against a very good team, doesn't happen. Oakland is NOT Cincy. Nuff said.

Got nothing to do with Oakland. Leaning Steelers myself. I just think Rothlisberger's leg is till in bad shape.

I like Pitt (like most of the thread participants). I also really like GB. Of course, I really liked them last week as a short road fav vs an undefeated team (with clear weaknesses). I am thinking of betting on PHI. I suspect Indy covers somehow but won't play it.

Raiders are the NFL team I follow the closest. I was on here last week and the previous week begging people to not bet Chargers v. OAK or Jets @ OAK. Most people didn't listen and lost, not saying I'm always right about the Raiders but very clued in.

Love PIT this week -4, locked in already. Tomlin dominates west coast teams at his place 10AM PST start time. 81% of the time he covers, Landry Jones covered and won SU v. the Cards earlier this year just illustrates that dominance.

Only weird thing is Big Ben is 1-4 SU v. the Raiders in his career, and Raiders have sucked his whole career. But still PIT is very strong this week.

Appreciate the insight, didn't realize or know that record. Won't back me down though. You GB backers, I'd tread extremely light. I'm going to the game, they're going nuts over it here in Charlotte. I suspect that debacle last Monday night was due to a little look ahead. I'd be really surprised if the Panthers didn't win by a touchdown. Personally not playing the game, but I see some "I want respect" coming. GL to your wagers.
