Ahh... Let's talk about the NFL ..

Went 2-0 on my Posted Plays last week .... Horrible again in the Super Contest !
Worst start since I entered that contest ( 8 years )

But have been doing pretty good on the Gambling front ....

So What did we learn last week ???

We Learned that the Pats can be shut out, even though it's been like 10+ years since the last time they were.
and that even though Everything pointed towards Jimmy G starting, they used the Rookie with a Broken finger instead !

We Learned that the AZ Cards are NOT as good as they were last Season, and Now with Palmer OUT ... they should be worst

We Learned that London is the 2nd Home to the Jacksonville Jags, or can that be their First home ..... make that 2 in a row for them across the Pond

We Learned that Jets QB can't throw 6 Picks Twice in a row, but he can throw 3 INTS after throwing 6 of them

We also learned that the Browns are ... The Browns ... and the WORST team in Football .... and doesn't look good this coming week facing Pretty Boy Brady and the Pats.
even though i feel there is a 2% chance they cover this week ... DID I JUST SAY THAT ???
DD Home dogs ... 84% on the Pats and the line has either stayed put or moved to 10.5 ( Line should be almost 2 TD's )
Anyway, I don't see ... Just Wanted to Say it ! LOL

We Learned that the Falcons are for REAL this season .... and Julio "down by the schoolyard" Jones is UNREAL !
But with Carolina being 1-3, how Bad are they ??
The HUGE test will be this week vs. the Denver Defense ... in Denver

We Learned that the Oakland raiders Can win 3 Road games on the other side of the US.
their only Lost was at Home thus far.

We also learned that the Steelers are not dead after their horrible game vs. Philly a couple of weeks back .... So does that mean the Eagles are That Good ?
or was it just a bad day for Ben & Company that day ??

We Learned that the Cowboys Rookie QB Dak Prescott is looking better and better each week ... so If and When Romo comes back, Who will Start ?
3-1 and just losing by 1 point vs. NYG ... they look good, should be an interesting NFC east

We learned that Eli is Scared Rabbit in the pocket & his #1 receiver is a head case (again)

I wonder if Macadoo can keep the circus in check

What stood out to me is Detroit (I know I am on an Island there), and the Bengals.

After closer inspection I also like Wash and Tenn.

(I also like the Pat's but I am from Boston so that is sort of a given)

Oh and as much as I like OAK, I think the public likes them too much. If I had to bet that game (and I don't, so I might not, I think I would take SD and the points. SD is a good offensive team and have led in the 4th QTR almost every game. Hell, maybe I should just start betting them in the first half, and taking their opponent in the 4th QTR.

Cam Newton remains in concussion protocol.

Carolina Panthers coach Ron Rivera provided no further information on the starting quarterback Thursday, noting the team likely will have a decision on Newton by the end of the week.

Newton suffered a concussion on a second-half hit to the head in Sunday's loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

With the Panthers playing on Monday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week Newton is afforded extra time to heal before a decision on his status.

If Newton can't go, veteran backup Derek Anderson will make his first start since 2014. In two starts that year Anderson beat the Bucs twice.

The last time Anderson started a Monday Night Football game -- in 2010 with the Cardinals -- he did not fair well in a 27-6 blowout loss

Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant didn't take part in Thursday's practice session.

Bryant has been recovering from a hairline knee fracture he suffered in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears. He likely will not play against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, though he will try to test out his knee during Friday's practice, a source with knowledge of the situation told NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

The Cowboys managed to beat the San Francisco 49ers last week without Bryant's services. Dallas owner Jerry Jones said he wouldn't rule out his receiver for Sunday afternoon's game against the Bengals, but it's looking less and less likely he sees the field as game day approaches.
NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported that Cowboys kicker Dan Bailey still isn't feeling well from a back injury he suffered. Dallas will work out Robbie Gould and Kai Forbath, Garafolo reported, per sources. Offensive tackle Tyron Smith (back) was a participant in practice.
Read up on the rest of Thursday's injury news as we approach kickoff of Week 5:
1. Panthers quarterback Cam Newton did not practice for the second straight day. Newton remains in concussion protocol after suffering a hit to the head during Sunday's loss to the Falcons. If Newton is unavailable Monday night, Derek Anderson would face Tampa Bay in his absence. Anderson said Thursday he hasn't been told whether or not he will start in place of Newton yet.
Running back Jonathan Stewart (hamstring), linebacker Thomas Davis (hamstring) and offensive tackle Michael Oher (concussion) also didn't practice. Receivers Devin Funchess (foot) and Ted Ginn Jr. (foot), as well as running back Mike Tolbert (hamstring), center Ryan Kalil (knee), offensive tackle Mike Remmers (shoulder) and defensive tackle Star Lotulelei (shoulder) were limited.
2. Denver Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian (shoulder) threw at the beginning of practice and was listed as limited. The second-year signal-caller didn't practice at all Wednesday, so this is an improvement toward starting Sunday.

2. New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis (hamstring) and receiver Eric Decker (shoulder) both didn't practice. Decker is week-to-week, according to coach Todd Bowles. Decker told reporters he should know by Friday if he'll play this week.

3. Packers cornerback Sam Shields won't play this week, Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy said. He's still going through the process of recovering from a concussion, but is making improvements.

4. Lions receiver Marvin Jones (hamstring) returned to practice. DeAndre Levy (quad), Ziggy Ansah (ankle), and Eric Ebron (ankle) didn't practice.

6. Bears quarterback Jay Cutler (thumb) and Eddie Royal (calf) were among those who didn't practice. Tight end Zach Miller (ribs) was limited.

7. Raiders running back Latavius Murray is battling turf toe, Rapoport reported, per a source. Offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave hopes to have him available Sunday, according to the Bay Area News Group.

8. Giants running back Rashad Jennings (thumb), cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (groin), and cornerback Eli Apple (hamstring) were all limited. Apple is moving in the right direction, having not practiced Wednesday.

9. The Niners placed NaVorro Bowman (Achilles tendon) on injured reserve. The team also listed defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey inactive for Thursday's tilt against the Arizona Cardinals. Dorsey was listed as limited in practice Wednesday with a knee issue.

10. Redskins cornerback Bashaud Breeland (ankle), safety Su'a Cravens (concussion) and wideout Josh Doctson (Achilles) didn't practice. Linebacker Ryan Kerrigan (elbow) was limited. Guard Shawn Lauvao and defensive end Chris Baker (elbow) were upgraded to full participants.

11. Colts quarterback Andrew Luck (shoulder) was limited in practice after being a full participant the previous day. Frank Gore (chest) was a full participant after not practicing the previous day.

12. Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski (hamstring), running back LeGarrette Blount (hip), wideout Julian Edelman (foot), linebacker Dont'a Hightower (knee) and quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (shoulder) were limited.

13. Vikings receiver Stefon Diggs (groin) and defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd (knee) didn't practice. Tight end Kyle Rudolph (rib) was limited after not participating Wednesday.

14. Texans receiver Braxton Miller (hamstring) was a full participant after being limited. Tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz (knee), cornerback Kareem Jackson (hamstring) and offensive tackle Duane Brown (knee) were limited.

The San Diego Chargers will be getting their future Hall of Fame tight end back on the field today.
Antonio Gates is expected to return against the Raiders in Oakland, although his snaps might be limited, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

Gates has missed two games with a hamstring injury. The five-time All-Pro has six receptions for 35 yards and one touchdown this season.

Other injury news we are watching on Sunday:

1. Bears pass-catchers Alshon Jeffery (knee) and Zach Miller (ribs) are active, as is running back Ka'Deem Carey (hamstring). Eddie Royal (calf) is also active.

2. Cowboys kicker Dan Bailey (back) and left tackle Tyron Smith (back) are expected to play against the Bengals in Dallas, while wide receiver Dez Bryant will be a game-time decision and unlikely to play, according to Rapoport. Cornerback Orlando Scandrick is also unlikely to play.

3. Ravens running back Kenneth Dixon (knee) will make his debut for Baltimore against the Redskins, but won't start, according to Rapoport. Cornerback Shareece Wright is inactive Sunday due to back spasms, the team announced.

4. Bills running back LeSean McCoy (hand) is expected to play against the Rams in Los Angeles, according to Rapoport.

5. The Patriots will have their full complement of pass-catchers, including Julian Edelman (foot) and tight end Rob Gronkowski (hamstring), as well as running back LeGarrette Blount (hip), quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (shoulder) and linebacker Dont'a Hightower (knee).

6. While Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian (shoulder) won't start and will likely be inactive against the Falcons on Sunday, he is expected to be ready for Thursday's game against the Chargers, according to Rapoport.

7. Bills tight end Charles Clay (knee) is expected to play, according to Rapoport.

8. Lions wide receiver Marvin Jones (foot) is active.

9. Texans tackle Duane Brown (knee) is active.

10. Rams wideout Kenny Britt (thigh) is expected to play, per Rapoport.

11. Giants runnning back Rashad Jennings (thumb) is not expected to play, per Rapoport.

12. Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis (hamstring) is inactive.

13. Dolphins OL Laremy Tunsil is a surprise inactive after injuring his ankle in game prep Sunday morning, per Rapoport.

Wrong team favored IMO. Bills travel , rush defense not being good. Market overreacting to shutout of QB LESS Pats
Rams control the game with running
Vikings -6..Only covered 9 straight at home , not bad
