Ahh Yes .... I'm back with this Thread that I have written for the past few years..

Sorry I didn't do this the first 2 weeks of the Season ... But just have been Busy with Nonsense :)

This thread is for Everyone, to comment, talk about the games, Injuries ... Players, what you thought about last weeks games or this coming weeks Games

It has also helped me over the years with My LVH/Westgate Contest plays ... and I can use it, because I'm off to a horrible start ( 4-6 )

I always like to start out with "What did we Learn from Last weeks Games" ... so Let's get started !

Sooo .. We Learned that the Buffalo Bills could be one of the worst Teams in the NFL thus far, as their #4 Defense from 2 years ago is Nowhere to be found
But instead, they Fire their offensive coordinator !

We also found out that the Pitt. Steelers are still a Top tier Team even with some Missing pieces. and with Le'Veon Bell coming back in Oct. ... How much better will they be ?

The Titans, Lions, Falcons , Cowgirls and eagles have a chance ... and speaking of Philly ... Who Knew Carson Wentz would fall in place and do a good job..

Talking about New QB's .. Tony Romo WHO !
Dak Prescott hasn't thrown a TD pass Yet ... but he has thrown 75 times without an INT
and My Opinion is the Cowboys should be 2-0, but that's another story.

We learned that there is Life After Tom Brady ..... or is it Before Brady, as his return will be in a couple of weeks
Probably the Best team in Years, as long they don't play the NY Giants in the Super Bowl
But trouble Looms this Thursday night, as Jimmy G is Hurt ... and now Bill belicheat will turn to a Rookie to continue the Streak ....

The last comment I have is we Learned Yet again that the Seahawks Still can't beat the St. Louis Rams or even the LA Rams

Talking about the RAMS .... in the last 3 Games that they have beaten Seattle ... the next game on the road, They Lost, SU & ATS
I believe there was also a similar stat with any team after they faced Seattle

For Tomorrow Night's game ...

Houston Opened at -1 at most shops after it was said that Jimmy G is Hurt, and Probably OUT
It went to Houston -2.5 Right away ... but it was steamed yesterday and now a PK or -1 Houston ....
Rumor has it, that the Pats still want Jimmy G to start ... IMHO, I don't see it happening ...

Gun to my Head, I would take a small side with Houston because I believe JJ Watts & Company will get to whichever QB starts
and Brock Osweiler does know a little bit about the Pats

Mores Games to Follow ....

Here's my eagles perspective

Eagles
Offense
The offense has been surprisingly effective. The offensive line was less of a question mark, other than lack of depth. The eagles were able to run against the browns, which was to be expected, and really struggled early against the bears to get any significant run game going. The gameplan was well done versus the bears as they came out with a short to intermediate passing game and did not really try to run. This was a good call and the oline struggled to get any push up the middle. Goldman was really an emerging force on the d-line for the bears and the eagles couldn’t move him. The line will now lose quite a bit with Johnson out for 10 games. The eagles won’t lose anything by replacing Barbre at LG with Wisniewski or Seumalo, but they will lose quite a bit by moving Barbre to RT. The line will now be seriously challenged from a depth perspective and they need Peters to hold up for the full season.
The WR’s and TE’s have been better than expected. Matthews will be a solid player in the NFL, particularly if he can learn to catch. Agholor has played better, but he also struggles to catch. Huff is not very good, so the unit will really depend on DGB to become a factor once he’s really integrated into the offense. The TE’s are the same story. This has to be the third year in a row waiting and predicting a breakout from Ertz. He is a solid player who can make some plays down the field. I am not expecting anything more from him. Celek can still catch and block. Burton was solid vs the bears but there are zero expectations for production from him.
The quarterback has been very good. Wentz is not making major mistakes and is handling the game very well. The game plan was simple against the browns, but he was handling much more of the offense on Monday night. It’s been an impressive start for Wentz.
Defense
The front 7 is good and will remain the strength of the defense. Cox and Graham have been very good on the line. As long as they can continue to pressure the QB with Barwin, Graham, and Curry, they can stay in some games. Hicks is a good player at LB. Bradham is average and Kendricks always shows promise but is probably just an average player at this point.
The secondary is another story. I have no issues with the safeties and think Mcleod was a good signing. The corners are bad. McKelvin is average and Carroll shouldn’t be on the field. Brooks has been pretty solid as a 4-year backup / special teamer getting some time on the field. Mills is a 7[SUP]th[/SUP] round rookie and really looks like it. There is no depth here so any injury will be a major issue.
I see them coming back to earth pretty quickly on Sunday against Pittsburgh. Roethlisberger is the exact type of QB that will crush this secondary. The Eagles have no one to match up with Brown and Pitt seems to have a bunch of WR’s coming out of nowhere and producing. The eagles cannot match that, particularly with Williams running the ball so well. The Steelers offense will be too much for this defense, particularly the QB vs Secondary matchup. The Eagles offense will probably continue to produce points. Wentz has been solid and you can move the ball on the Steelers. I’d hate to lay more than a FG on a road fav, so maybe the over is a solid selection in this one. Just to note, I only wager on data so this is just my take on the team I am still emotionally involved with and watching.

Week 3

Just some ideas on a couple. Home team in caps. Edge is team unit vs corresponding opposite unit of opponent ie Team rush O vs Opponent rush D.

oak +1
Not sure what is going on but they should be much better on D. Covered 6/8 on road last yr and beat TEN outright. Edge everywhere. Big edge in pass O and pass rush D. TEN one of the worst pass D’s in league.

bal pk
This must be a mistake. Edge everywhere except pass D. Big edge in pass rush D and JAX wout OT Kelvin Beachum

Niners +10, browns +10. I think the defense of these teams will keep the game tight. 10s are the best for back doors, any touchdown puts +10 dogs right in the mix. Unless it's a str8 blowout, which i still think won't be happening for either opponent.

Mia -9.5/10.. Miamis def line should shut down the Browns running game and make them 1 dimensional.... Pats had great game plan against Mia and came out throwing.... Clev doesn't have a QB who can do that...rookie qb making first start and Coleman broke his hand today.... Hate taking Mia giving ant points but this is situational and Mia needs the win... Clev played two tough games and blew 20 point lead which has to have some affect.

Oakland +1 - Titans have one of the worst pass rushing defensive lines in the NFL. Oakland is averaging 7.0 yards per play, and are the only team in football with all 5 starting offensive linemen graded out at 78 or higher by pro football focus. The Raiders will be able to move the ball and the extra time generated for Carr should lead to a road win for the raiders. I also look for the raiders defense to come around this week. Raiders have too good of a coaching staff to not figure out the issues.

Pittsburgh -3 - philly has beaten the two worst teams in the league. The steelers are a different monster. I like Carson Wentz, but this is a game that he won't be able to win just managing the game. I don't think Wentz can keep up with Big Ben. I like Pittsburgh by a touchdown at least.

Good of luck with your plays.

Week 3 of the NFL season starts Thursday night, when the quarterback-depleted New England Patriots host the Houston Texans in a pairing of unbeatens.
The Battle of Pennsylvania, when the Philadelphia Eagles host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday afternoon in a rare regular-season meeting, is the only other contest between 2-0 teams this weekend.
The Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints will cap the schedule in a rematch of the Saints' memorable return to the Superdome 10 years ago in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

Ok, Glad I stayed away from that game last night .... and Props to the NE Pats

onto the first game I'm looking at...

Denver vs. Cincy
Line opened Cincy -3 or a few 3.5's and has basically stayed there

The last time these two team met, there were Two Different QB's facing each other.
McCarron for the Bengals and Osweiler for the Broncos, because at the time Both Manning and Dalton were hurt
That game went into OT and Denver won by kicking a FG

Now for this game Dalton is semi-healthy and Denver has a Brand new QB in Trevor Siemian
Siemian hasn't been the answer thus far, but it has been the Denver Defense yet again that wins games and thus are 2-0
Denver will be without Demarcus Ware but they should still be in Top Sharp with the rest of the #1 Defense.
The Broncos are 2-0 winning both games at Home, and will have their First Road game of the season this week.

On the other side the Bengals come into this Home Opener 1-1, but by all means they should be 0-2
Not saying this because I'm a NY JETS fan ... but The JETS did Out play the Bengals, plus the NYJ left 4 points on the board with an missed FG and missed ex point.
and how many dropped passes did Marshall have that day ?? I forget ... but he was a non-factor

Cincy did walk into a Buzz-saw last week vs. the Steelers, but I believe the Bengals will do better because their is no Big Ben in Siemian
if AJ Green gets his ... they should be alright.
But I do see Dalton making mistakes, and if he does I see this game landing on 3
so if you can get the Hook ( 3.5 ) then I lean the Broncos

So interesting that when I spoke to a friend of mine that's a mid-level Bookie
He said that in the LA Ram / TB Bucs game , he doesn't have even ONE wager on the RAMS ...

Is that even possible ??
