I think that Oscar rigged this fight. Simple as that.
I DO NOT think that Manny had any hand my speculation that Oscar rigged this one.
I had money on Oscar (borrowed money that I don't have to pay back any time soon) , and I hoped Manny would win. Not like this. This fight was rigged in my opinion and Oscar is a bad actor. You saw how Oscar had Manny hurt with a body shot in the 3rd but then let him off? Yeah. You see how Oscar didn't throw anything? Yeah. You see how Oscar looked overly tentative? Yeah. You see Oscar's post fight interview that looked like a paraphrased speech? Yeah.
Oscar just pranced with a stern look on his face, didn't throw shit with any snap, and Manny slowly built up his confidence in that fight. Oscar was playing games in there and I think that asshole cheated Manny out of a legit win. Oscar is a bad actor- he was stepping back off his punches (in the same manner a basketball player throws games by missing shots) not throwing any power, and then his post-fight interview- that was a fuckin' rehearsed interview. His cornerman even said out of NOWHERE "He's too fast for you anyway" and they gave a huge production about stopping it. Oscar, the asshole he is was FUCKING SMILING AND SMIRKING. He was also smiling (not the "I am hurt" Lennox Lewis smile, but the nasty sneer as if to say "ha ha ha, the joke is on you and you don't even know it."
I am convinced that Oscar threw this fight, and what better way to get your revenge than to make the guy you don't likes victory look like it was manufactured? Not to mention betting against himself in that round of at least 64-1 odds.
I am glad that Manny won but this is bittersweet for me because Manny didn't win an honest fight IMO and that is Oscar De la Hoya's fault. I think that Oscar fucked Manny out of a legit win on purpose.
I can't really say that I care too much about 180 bucks that I borrowed to bet on this fight, as I don't have to have it back any time soon and can make it back if, and I stress that word, IF I double down on Klitschko KOing Rahman next week.
