told this story before, last year in a diff thread. I lost about 2.5k playing BJ one afternoon. As I was leaving with tail between legs, I asked my VIP host if any comps avail. She set me up with $150 in "Bonus Play". On the way out of the VIP room I saw a Vid Poker $2 game that was calling my name. Sat down and about 10 minutes in - I drew a full house A-A-A-J-J. which was worth $90 if I locked the cards with no draw. I was playing DDB which pays off big on quad aces with a kicker, so I said WTF and threw out the two Jacks. Drew the 4th ace and a deuce kicker for a 4k payoff. After collecting I stopped by the BJ table and shared the good news with the pit boss who is always friendly with me. She comped me a steak dinner on top of all. Good times

It was about 10-11 years ago and a bunch were in Vegas. Bernie ( the guy most in the Book business knows ) was there and all know he was a Big Gambler.
anyway... that night a few of us were drinking and Bernie was Wasted ! We went to the Crap table and we took up most of the table.
One Rule that I have always had was I won't Drink and Gamble... or at least not drink a lot. Bernie was out there !!
But Bernie held the dice for about 30 mins. and Won about $200,000. the whole table made out pretty good. even the small guys made about $10K
it was a Great night.... and of course a great trip.

Way back when I would go to Vegas on these "up and backs" from Los Angeles. I would go to the Marina Hotel to make my plays. So I was playing BJ one day when all of a sudden a big commotion starts in the slots area. Someone is yelling and screaming so I had to take a walk over and see what was going on! When I got there, security was all over the place surrounding a couple who were playing the machine. Apparently, the wife wasn't playing full coins i when she hit the jackpot. The husband was screaming at her as it was a difference of many thousands of dollars. Well, things got straightened out and I returned to my BJ table.
Now about 15 minutes passed by and the previous raucous started up again in the same area. I just had to go back and see what happened! Turns out the SAME woman hit another jackpot and only had 1 coin in the machine. The husband was totally out of control and hit that bitch at least two times before security got ahold of him. "I TOLD YOU TO PLAY MAXIMUM CREDITS" HE SCREAMED!!!
It probably made a difference of $20,000 between the two jackpots! I would've stuck a knife in her!

Working nights as a slot attendant, at a casino I had previously been a dealer. Pretty quiet, and I hear that a woman just hit a straight flush at Carribbean poker. That gets her 10% of the bonus pot, which worked out to be about $11,000. So, it takes about 45 minutes to pay her. This is very normal, as they review the tapes and such.

I decided to quit my underpaid job at a poker affiliate to play poker for a living (was doing quite well playing $1-$2 here in CR with a $2000 bankroll) That same day went to a friend's house to party, deposited $25 and ran it up to $1400 in about 5 hours at FullTilt, started playing $0.10-$0.25... then $0.25-$0.50 and so on until I entered a $2-$4 crazy table with the whole $1400 at 3am... got crippled in about half an hour when my QQ went all in on the flop against a suited AK... he got the flush on the river... proceeded to puke in the balcony... deposited $500 more and lost it all playing poorly and fast paced. Continued to drink and snort for like 7 hours until I decided it was time to hit downtown SJ for some live table action... bought $100 worth of coke to ensure I would stay awake and went to play at the horseshoe and after 3 hours or so I had recovered my $500 I lost online... moved to the Colonial in front where bigger stacks are common, entered with my $500 and ran it up to $858 after a few hands (less than an hour) when the following hand took place: I had J-J UTG and raised to $30 (average initial raise was $20-$40), 5 people amazingly called making the pot $180 already. Flop came 3-5-7 rainbow, speaking first I made an awful play and went all-in. for my remaining $828. Got called by a regular on middle position and I knew I was fucked when he called so sure of himself, a flopped straight with 4-6. All table cringed as the turn brought the J... we all chuckled and the river came the 5 to give me a full boat for a terrible bad beat to the regular player. raked in $1836 in that hand... proceeded to celebrate in the restroom at the del rey and went to look for some girls, took 3 colombian girls for the nite and woke up with the $500 I initially meant to recover, and some change.
