I wanted to start a thread to actually discuss the teams playing, I thought of doing a thread for each game but figured it would litter up the board.
What I invision would be very nice for everyone here, at least the novice honest bettors like me, is a thread where people who know a tid bit about a team could come place it here and be helpful for the others. Example, Coach XYZ is undefeated in the sweet 16 (hopefully if you make a comment like that its more than 1 game though). Or Team X's guards are far superior, or can't handle pressure, etc. Things like that. Everyone is so interested in posting a play, well lets try to just put as much honest info out there to help the people who are actually here looking for info for which way to place a wager.
I'll start:
Florida vs Wisky:
-A betting trend I ran across the other day is when a lower seed knocks off a number 1, they usually fall the next game. I like Florida in this spot against Wisky.
-I really like the length and temp FLorida can put against Wisky, much like a michigan did.
-Wisky has some real tournament experience with Hayes and Koenig, they've been to a final four and then a championship game. Value that how you may, but it's not to be over looked I don't htink.
Baylor vs South Carolina:
Not much info on this game by me?
Gonzaga vs WVU:
Again, not much info.
-East coast teams going to the west coast don't usually fair all that well.
Xavier vs Arizona:
-I believe, but not verified, that the Xavier coach is O'fer in teh sweet 16.
-Miller I believe has knocked off Mack twice in the sweet 16
Kansas vs Purdue:
-Not much info here to throw out.
-Does kansas have the inside paint players to not let Haas and swanigan dominate this game?
-Game is in Kansas City, this should not be overlooked
Oregon vs Michigan:
-Flip a coin? I really don't have any input here but I know many people here are close to both of these teams, so hopefully we can get some useful info.
-Altman is 1-1 in the sweet 16, losing to number 1 seed louisville a few years ago as a 12 seed then last year winning in teh sweet 16.
UNC vs Butler:
-Good chance that Arkansas game grabbed UNC's players attention.
-Don't really know much about Butler here, if they have faced anyone with the likes of UNC.
UCLA vs Kentucky:
-Rematch from a game UCLA won at Kentucky earlier in the year.
-Will need to verify, but I believe Calipari has an astonishing Sweet 16 record.
You can kind of see the info that I think would be very beneficial. Hopefully we can gather tons of info from people on here who want to contribute and this will allow for the novice bettors to have a place to take in such info to make an informed decision.
Hope this works!
