In most of these cases that I have seen, I am on the side of Law Enforcement. This one? Cop seems guilty to me.

This guy was guilty as hell..... How could they not reach a verdict? Seems quite cut and dry.

Wonder if the jury is pulling a reverse OJ, meaning they're tired of all the BLM stuff along with all the assaults on officers. I don't know how they can't convict based on what I've seen. Once the guy took off running , he was no longer a threat to the officer. It's not like the guy running had a gun and was using it.

Next jury will put him in prison. Victim's family taking the high road in post trial comments. You have to respect the hell out of their composure.

All True, very true.

Dude hung himself with his own testimony, when he took the stand during this mistrial.

Prosecution can vaporize him within 3 questions, next trial.

In addition the The Appeal of this, he still has a Federal Civil Rights Trial ahead. Possibly.

I expect this dude will fake his death and bail.

When watching the video one has to wonder how the hell this guy was ever hired in the first place to be a police officer.

In this guy's Defense

and what I believe was his Defense:

was that the black guy was whopping his ass, just prior to whats seen on that tape

I guess dude's defense was instinctual response to that? Having just been pounded upon, by the then fleeing black dude?

whatever.....Consensus seems to be a lack of belief that black dude had been whooping up on him, just prior.

Riots In Other States, But Not Here In South Kak....

Three Prime Examples:

--Rebel/Confederate Flag Came Down @ The STATE HOUSE In Columbia...Nothing!

--12 Black People Killed In THE CHURCH SHOOTING In Charleston By White Racist...Nothing!

--Black Man, Walter Scott SHOT & KILLED In Charleston By White Cop...Nothing!

We Keep Our Cool Here In SOUTH CAROLINA, Unlike Other States & Bigger Cities, Where Shit Gets Heated!

That Being Said, The Officer's Taser Was Taken From Him, And Used On Him By Scott.
But Then He Deopped It & Attempted To Run From The Scene, At Which Time He Was
Shot In The Back 8 Times, While Running Away & No Longer Posing A Threat.
Why Not Just One Shot To The Back On The Thigh Or Knee? That Would've Been Enough
To Stop Him & Make An Arrest. He Will Be Found GUILTY In Trial #2.

Cop lost his cool, no doubt

Not really sure what you're supposed to do in these cases as an officer. I know you don't shoot someone in the back. You are enforcing the law by pulling him over for tail light or whatever. He runs because he has outstanding warrants and such. You once again enforce the law and pursue. He turns and resists, and I may be wrong but I believe he took or attempted to take the officer's taser? Then he runs again. So at this point, a man who shows no respect for the law or any indication he will comply is on the run. If you pursue he has already shown a propensity for resisting and attempting to take a weapon from the officer. If you don't pursue and let a crazed criminal run away then you aren't doing your job.

I know this isn't a completely accurate analogy, but in an MMA fight it's illegal to hit in the back of the head, but not if you are attacking and then "playing the game" by purposefully turning and exposing the back of your head to keep your opponent from punching back.

Ok so Scott took Slager's taser and tased him? Why do people feel sorry for this guy? I've seen articles quoting his mother talking about Jesus and God will judge and all kinds of spiritual and ethical platitudes. Maybe if she would have preached to her son more often he would still be here.

not allowed to to aim for the legs cause you only discharge your weapon if your life is in danger. Also can't fire off just one shot, cause of the whole life in danger thing, firing off a ton of rounds makes it look more like you felt you were in danger.. Cops get off a lot because they know this.
