Yea. Brutal. The weather has a lot to do with it. But even the dirt fields have been short. I wonder why.

I understand it was a five-horse field when the tri bet was made, but I'm not sure there is any combination that would have returned positive money. I'm not sure what the odds on the three were when he was taken off so I can't do the calculation, but assume that is something you take a look at? I know on a three team exacta box with two big favs, you might throw in a longshot even with five horses, but don't know how that makes money in a trifecta.
