They canned the tolls a long time ago, friend !
I remember the toll stations circa 1980 when I started driving. I've never seen a toll on I-95 or I-91 or really anywhere in CT in the last 20 years. Ct is a passthrough state, so it's easy to use our roads with no tolls and buy your fuel in Mass ( as a trucker) or elsewhere....but no tolls to slow down the traffic. Pretty decent deal but those passing by can often skip fueling here.
This place isn't that horrible ! I still want to leave again, but they do a few things well...
I used to driveto Jai alai in Milford and Bridgeport around 1978-82 , as a HS KId, often cut school to do it.
From Guiford ( exit 57) to Milford ( Exit 40) ...there were two tolls ....I think one was in West haven, the other in Branford....
going to Bridgeport one more (Stratford )?
It really slowed up traffic on the interstate every 15 miles.
But hey no fucking tolls here !
