Cleve had to clear cap space to sign Lebron, where is all this other cap space coming from to sign/trade other guys?

Yeah, let's see how great his is at coaching with nobodies on the team. Let's be honest. LeBron had to be mad at the way he coached the playoffs.

Hope Riley has a Plan B and C, without James and prob Bosh hes going to have a shitload of salary cap space. I havent read anything saying that he has approached other FAs.

The word "Coach" means something entirely different when you have a huge ego like Lebron on the team.

Come to think of it.... LeBron proves over and over.... he is never on a "TEAM". He is just out for himself. But strangly he does cry for help on the roster and disappears when big shot time rolls around?

I disagree... maybe his antics off the court, but on the court he is one of the best team players out there.

Wade is not going to get fucked or lose much money if he stays in Miami.. Miami will pay him.. They have to give it to someone

Miami will overpay for Wade. Wade will sit out a ton of games (if not most games)...... and Miami will be a half-assed team with half-assed fan interest.

This is also proof that it's bad to have all your eggs in one basket. I respect a team like the Spurs more than a team that relies on one guy to be everything for them.

They still have a ton of cap room when Bosh leaves as well. Miami could add a real player to the roster at max and at least sacrifice the season.

I can't but help to wish I was holding a cavs 30 or 20-1 ticket though...puff_>>

Miami will give Wade a bunch of money. Mainly due to loyalty and because they have tons of extra money to spare. Situation is just like it was with Kobe last year. Aging team gets blown up, the give a short gigantic contract to face of the team while the plan to rebuild/reload a couple years down the road.

There will be nobody bidding against Miami, just like nobody was bidding 30 mil a year for Kobe, but they will pay Wade anyway.

Agree King.. And James still cries for more help even when he controls all the money.. If you read the article..... he is already making excuses on how it takes time to develope a championship team, dah, dah, da-de-dah!

Perfect example of how simpletons ruin a franchise by paying stars for PAST performance. Never a viable option.

Will make fans feel warm a fuzzy for about two seconds.... then they will be pissed as hell and stay home as soon as the team starts to struggle.

Lebron going to Cleveland is the best thing that could have happened, lots of winners throughout the league.

-Cleveland - huge winner , awesome young team, will probably win multiple championships in the next 5 years
-Houston- if they get Bosh, to play with the now healthy Dwight Howard and Harden, should be title contenders THIS SEASON
-Miami- hard to call them a loser , they had a team going nowhere with Wade 5 years, ago, they ended up going to the finals 4 straight years and winning two, having a ton of fun along the way. Now their team was aging and on the decline despite Lebrons greatness. Good time to end it, Wade will get paid big and play for a young crappy team as his career is almost over anyway

If Houston can keep Parsons they are going to be a pretty solid team next year.

But you need to spend the cap money anyway even while you are rebuilding. Why get a bunch of C level free agents to make your team mediocre and never properly rebuild. They can't just save the money, The NBA requires you to spend a certain % of the cap.

Perfect example now is the Sixers, they are in full rebuild. They still need to spend cap money but they don't want to be good this season, management would probably be a little dissapointed if they made the playoffs. They are about to get Jeremy Lin and draft picks for virtually nothing, possibly Stoudamire from the Knicks too. They have no interest in those guys to make the team a winner, they are just taking on expiring contracts and getting paid in draft picks. The Sixers are required to spend the cap money anyway, so they are taking on overpriced players other teams want to get rid of.

If Miami is going to rebuild then paying Wade 20 million a year doesn't hurt them, the money needs to be spent, don't spend it on older stars like Gasol, etc who are just going to make you a mediocre team

Looks like Love wants to join Cleveland...

Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love is "intrigued" by the idea of being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers and would commit long term to the team, a source close to the situation told ESPN.com's Marc Stein.
The Cavaliers have opened talks by offering guard Dion Waiters, forward Anthony Bennett and a first-round pick to the Timberwolves in exchange for Love, sources told ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard.
Love said during a June 11 appearance on ESPN's "SportsNation "that it "burns me and hurts my heart" that he hasn't made the playoffs in six seasons in the NBA.

Rodman could still get 2-3 rebounds a game. If you could keep him from wearing a wedding dress!
