it really is that boring.. I imagine the padres bpen is what it feels like to slowly be strangled..

Just sick and tired of being on the wrong side of this bpens dominance

Better hope your Giants can hang on to the Wild Card, OMT, because the Padres are takin' the West. Soumi

I sure hope you are right. I feel better about it after tonight and just spitting the next two, the Pads will still be 3.5 games ahead. I'm not playing anything on these games because I have so much more at stake with my San Diego play to win the NL West. I bet $250 on the Pads to win the division at 30-1. Winning over seven thousand would more than make up for this crazy baseball season when so many games were won or lost late and it seemed it was my plays that lost.

I think I saw somewhere a few days ago that San Diego is 51-1 when ahead after 7 innings. They are proof so far that great pitching with good defense is usually all a team needs to win. Like in football, a good defense will beat a good offense and usually have the most value to play because so many guys don't like betting on a team that can't score, even if they can shutdown the other team.

I honestly hope you hit that 30-1 wager. that would be awesome.

I have to admit I was quick to call the Padres out and call them frauds and in a sense still believe they are. In regards to your comment "they are proof so far that great pitching with good defense is usually all a team needs to win." I agree in a sense but lets not fall head over heels for this team. Yes you do find good value in these teams that can't score but the reason I have called them out for being frauds is for the very reason of not being able to score. If you take a look at some of the games where the Padres have faced some of the elite pitchers in the game, they have not fared well at all, often times being shutout..coming away with 2 or 3 hits. This is why I keep screaming and yelling to anyone who will listen to be cautious when betting this team. At this rate...most likely they will make the playoffs and by that time their stock will be high and it will be everyones sexy pick with alot of money backing them. The problem is come crunch time IE the playoffs, your facing the best of the best in terms of pitching and if the Padres aren't throwing a shutout themselves they aren't winning. A lot of people are going to get burned by this team come post season.

^^^^ going to make this clear so I don't sound like even more of a dope than I already do but yes I do reconize that the Padres pitching neutralizes their lack of hitting and also neutralizes the other team as well but besides Adrian Gonzalez, if you look up and down this line up there is not one hitter that is feared by anyone, not one. Where as other play off teams, pennant chasing teams rosters/line ups are going to be stacked and the number of stress pitches and innings the Padres staff is going to have to make elevates.......putting them at an even more disadvantage.

no clue why I am rambling on about this right now either lol....insomnia getting the best of me at the moment.

What makes you think is a sucker play. San Diego is 10-3 on the 13 games Latos has started on the road so far and his ERA is under 2.50 while Bumgarner's home ERA is 4.82 and the Giants are 1-2 for the 3 games he started. In fact and you may want to do the same, I just bet a couple hundred that the Cy Young will come from the FIELD because Latos is part of the Field. 12-5 with a 2.46 ERA makes Latos a serious candidate. Wainright is the only real competition that I see and he would only pay 1 for 1. Here comes the good part. My Field bet, which includes Latos, will pay 8-1 at sportsbook.com.

ok I dont know about all the Cy Young stuff just YET....but that is point of why I feel I am being suckered.....the kid is dead nasty and Bumgarner has been average as of late and the line is only -110. should be around -140 IMO.

I looked up and down their lineup and what did I see. "NOW BATTING FOURTH FOR SAN DIEGO, NUMBER 47, RIGHT FIELDER RYAN LUDWICK" This is the same Ryan Ludwick that batted .299 with 37 Home Runs for St. Louis just two years ago and had 22 HR's last season. He only batted .265 last season but right now is .278 with 14 HR's. Not only does he bring offense to San Diego, he gives Gonzalez the protection he has never had with San Diego. Of course this won't last but since the trade for Ludwick, Gonzalez is batting over .500 and the St. Louis fans are still pissed he was traded away.

If I keep these posts up, I may have spend my $7500 to move to San Diego.

PS: Line now -115 and I would not be surprised to see it higher tomorrow morning.
