Fades since 9-11-03: 26-5 +53.48 units

This dynamic of picking the fades won't last with favorites clinching division titles.

Bos -177 over Bal
Suppan/Johnson

Tor -1.5 -143 over TBay
Halladay/Bell

KC -1.5 -125 over Det
Abbott/Knotts

Oak -1.5 -131 over Tex
Zito/Mounce

Each for 5 units.

Vantuz:

Good question. I have been fading the weak teams and playing the favorites so the teams I have listed 1st are the teams to play. I'll try to make that clear in posts in the future.

This is a unique time in the baseball season when weaker teams don't seem to have the drive to finish a game (IMHO) and even give their non-starters time in the game. The stronger teams are still vying for playoff spots. It seems to have made a difference.

In summary, play the favorites.

Adding one more game. The Padres kind of fell off my radar because they were playing the Rockies, another team long out of the race.

Here's the pick (play the favorite)-

LA -161 over Padres [1 unit only!]
Perez/Bynum

Perez has a 5.32 road ERA. However, he has pitched well in his last 3 games. Bynum is a good example of a team out of the race giving a new guy a chance to start. He has been shelled his last 2 games.

I'm only going with 1 unit on this one because of the venue change. SD is at home coming off a road trip and LA is away after a home stand. If the Dodgers win convincingly I'll look to fade SD tomorrow as well.

No bigger fade than the White Sox. Really packed it in the last 10 days. Good luck.
