Thinking of trying to have it done. I don't know if i am too old to have it done as i am 73 yrs old & have heard that older people are not good candidate's due to some problems in the eyes from old age. I got new glasses about 4mo's ago & had no cataracts then, i may go get examined to see if i can have it done.

I had it done 10 years ago, best thing I ever did my vision is still 20-15 although I have to use readers for close up. They told me that I would probably need readers in my 40's I am 48 now. I used Dr Whiting and he is the best in Minnesota.

I did it about 8 years ago and couldn't be more pleased with the results. I was damn near legally blind. I couldn't read the big letter at the top of the eye chart. I haven't had an exam in years but my sight is still very good and thankfully I don't need reading glasses.

If you are a candidate, I highly recommend it. There isn't much better than liberating yourself from glasses and contacts.

I had it done over 10 years ago. Best decision I ever made.
Now in my mid-40's I do have to use magnifiers for reading.
I hear they have Lasik for that now too.

Sparty, I'm older than you, 79 in May, IF I make it. Had both eyes done in 08, noticed a little blurring in the R eye, they said it happens at our age. The procedure to clear it up took about 45 secs. Couldn't have been easier. Dr Reidel HE'S the best in MN!!! Don't wait, I only use glasses for reading now. Watching TV w/o is great.:toast:

I'm 10 minutes away from the pioneer of lasik, close to $4500 for both eyes. I'll wait till I have extra $$$$$$$$$ to spare

Had it done in 1997. I think that is close to when it first came out in the United States. I have to say it was the best money I ever spent.
