I do agree to a point, but lets face it there are still plenty of people willing to put up a dime that have a solid opinion on the games. They absorb a whole bunch of guys that are only putting $10 on their hopeless cards. But totally agree from the people I know that reside in Nevada and don't have any concept of value. That is what you would expect though from anyone that has lived in the state any length of time. Everyone repeats that the house always wins in the long run and to win anything you have to get lucky. With that frame of mind I don't really expect too many people to think about any kind of betting activity as a "value" proposition.
This applies to poker as well. Many players in town think they will do ok because they play tight and only come in with good cards. Well if you do that, but then never value bet and just check and call with your decent cards unless you make a monster hand, you totally gave up all value and can't win in the long run. It is a mindset that is rampant even for some fairly intelligent people I know.
