Are there any sportsbooks in Vegas that comp football bettors better than the others. I'm heading to Vegas to bet a large amount on football games this weekend and thought being comped would be nice. Thanks in advance.

Good Luck.

Dont count on getting much more than free drinks and an occasional buffet if you ask politely... unless you really give them some heavy action.. . . meaning at least $10,000 in action.

If you give them $20,000+ in dead money, the Stardust may give you a place to sit in their sportsbook! That is, if it doesn't offend any of the numerous (non-betting) vagrants that seemingly live in the back rows.

There aren't many comps given to sports bettors there from what I understand - truly the least amount of comps given compared to any other type of gambler. Free drinks are offered in some places if you look like you are betting on races or games. Some places might have some free food for certain days like for Monday Night Football, etc.

Even though there's "vigorish" on sports wagers, there's enough human-ness going into everything that they can't count on you losing the "expected/theoretical" loss like they would in games like Craps, Roulette, Slots, etc.

At the Stardust if you ask before you wager, they will keep a running tab on all your wagers. Every time you go to the window and place a wager give them your name and they write down the amount wagered. If you wager al least 1500.00, you can get dinner for2 including drinks. You can probably get your room comped if you wager 10K in 1 day maybe more.

You might be better off going to some casino's that count your sportsbook wagers as points that you can redeem for food and comp rooms. Terrible's casino is one that i use and it works for me. There are others but not many. Just show your slot card so they can swipe it and watch your points add up.

This is based on my personal experience.

Don't be shy ... ask the shift book manager. I usually stay at MB on the strip and play at the Nugget downtown. They both treat me very well.

I always look at it this way .... If you're spending thousands on the games don't sweat the small shit like free rooms and meals. If you look like you really don't care and talk nice to the "right" people you will never pay for a thing.

Vegas is a blast and FWIW I would never trust an offshore book with anything more than chump change.

The Coast properties are probably the
most generous as far as meal comps go.
They are a locals casino and it's pretty
much the norm that the local places take much better care of the players then the Strip
joints. There is a point of diminishing
returns with the sportsbook comp system.
Many places can only go as far as a coffee
shop or buffet for two before it becomes
a big issue. You'll get that after 3K-5K
in action at most places that comp. After
that you probably get no added benefits
from giving them more action.

Coast Properties will set you up, ask for SB Mgr Williams, also the SuperHilton will comp you Benihana or LeMontrachet if you are a whale.

Mirage will give some chinese or sushi/teppan, even shows should you ask early enough.

Binions used to comp their steakhouse if you played hard.

DI before being torn down, was much like Rio & Orleans, and had Vegas residents frequent it as a "locals" joint.

Screw the comps, and if you want something besides Auerole, Postrio, or Renoit..head off the strip to Cafe Michelle, Andres, Cafe Med, Celebrity Deli, Rosemarys, or Tillerman to eat and mix with locals.

I bet over a million dollars at Caesars Palace in one year(thats when they were not afraid to take a bet). I was comped a drink of water at one of their many drinking fountains.

Bulldog- You can't get those seats. Those guys have "squatters rights" and have deeds to those seats. Below I have listed the comp policies for some of the hotels.

Stardust- If you bet really heavy, you can get a comp for two to the buffet. After you throw up, you will be allowed to have a seat with the local dregs. If you try to ask for another buffet, they will issue you a slot club card and send you on your way to the machines.

Station properties- Once you get permission from Art Manteris to bet your $20 dollar three team parlay, you will be issued a drink ticket. They will stamp your hand so you can't get another ticket later. When you go to the bar to redeem the ticket you have to have two forms of ID.

Coast properties- They will track your play with each bet you make. When you reach $5000 dollars, you get a coupon for a hot dog from the cart near the sportsbook. After you reach $10,000 dollars, you can get the mustard.

MGM/Mirage- I have inside information for this place. Sportsbook director Robert Walker will give you a sports knowledge quiz before you can bet. He will ask you to name any three NFL teams. Tell him you don't know anything about football and he'll let you bet all parlay cards you want and $50 dollar straight bets off the board. If you pass the quiz, you're labeled a "wise guy" and shown where the blackjack tables are. If you try to go back to the sports book, they will introduce you to Siegfried and Roy's white tigers. Before they have been fed. Oh, I almost forgot. They have a very liberal comp policy. When your play reaches $5000 dollars in those $50 dollar straight bets or you play a thousand $5 dollar parlay cards, you get a cap and a t-shirt. Yes, you get both.

Harrahs and the Rio- If you wager at least $1000 total on their ties lose parlay cards, you get a line pass to the Rio buffet. But you still have to pay for the buffet. If you wager $5000 in straight bets, you get a 2 for 1 sandwich coupon for the deli next to the sportsbook.

Welcome to Las Vegas. Come back soon.

soccerbob, LOL! My friend lost over $100,000 at the Caesars Palace sportsbook right before Art Manteris took over as head dildo. My friend asks for his ususal comp for dinner and they said no, "orders from Art Manteris". My friend stopped betting there.

Recently I had to wait 10 minutes to get a dime bet ok'd at CP. I swear I was beginning to wonder if they had the eye in the sky take my picture and was checking to see if I was a runner or maybe checking their book for banned bettors.

In all seriousness, Orleans and all the Coast books gives comps for bets, probably best thing you can get in town unless you really are whale level. The Strip places don't comp if you are a local betting sports. Coast books give you casino rate on rooms for only about 2 dimes total in action, which if you want one of their rooms is actually a pretty good deal. But of course they have no really nice places like the big places on the Strip so don't expect much, you will get a decent restaurant for two for about 5-10 dimes in action, a lot less if you bet races.
