When does the Imperial Palace close their swimming pool for the winter? I will be traveling out there Sept. 28th-Oct. 1st and am wondering if it will already be closed for the winter.

I quit gambling several years back for the most part. I have no idea why I was on post review back in 2008. We are just wanting cheap when we go out there at the IP is in the center of the strip and cheap. I know other hotels are a lot better, but like I said this is cheap and the scenery was wonderful at the pool last time we went. For the money, you can't beat it.

Ok, I fully understand.

Nothing about the Pool, but I found this.... which we talked about here a month or two ago

NOTE: Due to construction of The Linq, a $550 milllion urban retail and entertainment corridor scheduled to open in 2013, the Imperial Palace will undergo a noticeable transformation, bringing several improvements to the property including new interior and exterior refurbishments that will result in a new relaxed and contemporary atmosphere. During the renovation period, which is already underway, Imperial Palace guests may experience construction noise, dusty surfaces and intermittent utility disruptions around the property. Every attempt will be made to alert guests upon arrival of any activities that may impact their stay. In addition, vehicle traffic is no longer be able to access the Imperial Palace from the Las Vegas Boulevard entrances. A detour route brings all consumer vehicle traffic through the east end of the property closer to valet and self parking, and consumer vehicle traffic may also use the Harrah's entrance from Las Vegas Boulevard. A temporary pedestrian entrance for customers is open from Las Vegas Boulevard on the north side gated area of the property until construction of the new main pedestrian entrance at Harrah's Carnaval Court is complete. Pedestrians may also use the bridge between Harrah's and the Imperial Palace located at the rear of the properties.

Take a look at the Flamingo, directly across the street from Caesars Palace. It's usually what I recommend to folks want to stay in a mid-Strip location without spending a ton. Quality is a lot higher than the Imperial Palace and price usually isn't a whole lot more.

Boys I took your advice and we did not do the IP.. Flamingo was very similar in price to the Paris so we booked at the Paris. I've been out there twice and done Monte Carlo and IP, so this will be another new place for me. Pretty excited to go during college football, baseball, and NFL time.. Should be fun.
